Just a quick note to anyone whom this applies. Hi, I am so happy to confirm that I have been accepted to an online Graduate program! And it was a surprise to say the lealst... They have very high standards and I guess I met them. I feel fantastic. I have wanted this for a very long time (BSN-MSN.) I am specifically not mentioning their name because if I fail out (I have very little self confidence in starting this program... I am thinking positive and praying that my good intentions and positivity will help me along... *The Secret) Okay, now to ask my question... I need to take a Graduate Level Statistics course this fall. Now, how it does not qualify for Fin/Aid is beyond me. So I am searching for a less expensive class ($2000. is their price.) I am open to Graduate Level Statistics ONLINE where the cost is less than $2000. I am expecting twins in mid December (what timing!) So cost is a factor-also, a school/course that is doable for someone who has taken underundergrad stats and, well, that person HATED this class and thinks he only recieved a 1.5 because the teacher felt bad for him (yes, that would be me. I am just kidding, I am open to any school any state just as long as it is less than the $2000 and is available this fall - I want to thank everyone who helps me out in advance... Hello everyone, First, thank you for taking the time to read my question and perhaps answering it. I was accepted into a great MSN program (they sure must have liked me, I was excited but shocked they admitted me - YEAH!) One problem, I need to complete and pass an ONLINE GRADUATE LEVEL STATISTICS course. The school DOES offer the class but does NOT offer Financial Aid for Graduate Level Statistics. Can anyone suggest an ONLINE GRADUATE LEVEL STATISTICS that I can pay out-of-pocket and does not require admission to the institution as part of taking the class. I need to pay out of pocket so I am seeking a course that also is less money than my current institution ($2,000.) Any advise on where to find/ or personal experiences with an ONLINE GRADUATE LEVEL STATISTICS course. And, if you happened to havfe taken a ONLINE GRADUATE LEVEL STATISTICS and if by chance your not math genius AND you passed the class please come to the front of the line... I hated Stats in undergrad and I just know that I am entering a territory that I never wanted to see again. THANK YOU for any help you can provide or any direction in the right directions is very much appreciated. Since I have to pay out of pocket (for me, excellent timing-sarcastic- as I happen to learn that my 3 children (ages 3.5 to 13) will be welcoming not one but two new siblings sometimes around Christmas. In order of importance in the class I am to take: 1. cost below $2,000 (the cheaper the better) 2. class is known to be an Online Grad level course that has successfully been completed by an average graduate student (I dont need an A, but above 3.0 is necessary.) 3. Perhaps you are in my position, and needed my number 1 and 2 points to be part of the class... 4. FREE classes are also a big point, not sure if this is real, but the financial aid office suggested looking for one, I think that Online Grad level Statistics course may not be a reality.) 5. Your personal experience (do you hate math, or atleast hate Stats, but managed to obtain a satisfactory grade still.) or if an instructor entered the chat room and stated, no one will flunk this class if they__________ _______________? Do you have access to the HESI exam? That is the best indicator on whether or not you will pass if you receive a 70 or above you'll pass on the HESI. I don't understand why people spend so much time sifting through their books it is not going to help you on the exam all the questions are as if you are already a registered nurse so you need to know how to deal with situations for example and ingrown toenail or placental abruption Or an adolescent with positive SI and HI with plan Or tower to just collapsed and you need to decide who you're going to discharge because you have five mass counseled he's coming in. All my questions were like that and everyone I know so you better know how to be a nurse not a book because it doesn't help you either know it or you don't the good thing is once you know it you never lose it

Didn't you know how the boards work everything goes on levels it starts at level one difficulty and goes up to level five difficulty if you get level one right when you go to two if you get to write then you go to three if you get three wrong then you go back down to Denver with you to questions of tube in a row if you get those right back up to three then if you get that right before and that right up to five sometimes we get to fives in a row these are generally mass casualty questions so 252 Is not an indicator of passing or failing I had 153 questions and I felt confident with almost all of them being answered correctly the test decides when

Books and books studying and workbooks and all that crap is not going to help you now you need to go sit in the class like the Anderson's are you I just explained and absorb and let it all come back to you also if you have testing anxiety ask your doctor for some Ativan, I took 2 mg before my test because otherwise I would've burst into flames sitting there

listen I don't mean to damper your day but the fact that you've not past three times in a row should tell you something what was your GPA in school not that that really gives you any indication of passing the boards you could have a 1.5 and still pass the boards . how I never even went to school to be an LPN and I took the boards for that and passed. I don't know where you are located but you should look up a review course in Massachusetts there is something called the Anderson review and it's done by the person with that last name and his passing rate is nearly 100% so look for that in your state

OK this person waited three years three months of studying if you don't know what you don't know what you cannot force it you either get it or you don't everybody that I know that's a nurse had that light switch flipped on somewhere during junior year a few during senior but that was it you either know it and you get it for you Need to find a different career three months of studying are you kidding me she might as well try now because the three months that she wastes she could at least six months in between

I'm sorry but if you don't feel confident and passing the boards after all that schooling then you might as well go back for another year no studying is going to bring you up that close it doesn't work that way. Almost every question has four parts to it and it has for answers so unless you wonder stand lab values disease process intervention and manifestations for all the things that you're going to be honest you're screwed - I passed the first time LPN 85 RN 153

I do not know which program you are shooting to get into by the roots and undergrad or grad? Just a little word of caution I hope you have a good family that can help you because after financial aid and my EFC was zero, I still owed $4000 above and I had what's called a parent plus loan not sure what that amount was but my mother wasn't thrilled about it. There are 11 RN - BSN programs in my area, take a look at some schools. Northeastern is Nice, I actually GOT IN, I just find them ridiculous, I hope you do get it, but if not, try a state school. When you graduate not one person is going to care that you went to Northeastern all they care about is whe!ther or not you passed your boards and they can verify that so save the money if you can

This is from my personal experience.... 1. Seriously, DO NOT DO ANY "Direct Entry" grab your associates in nursing, then with your bachelors ???? You are more marketable. Throughout my career as a registered nurse I have had the opportunity to precept nursing students in nearly every situation (MedSurg/ pediatric & adolescent psych mental health/ adult psych/ Tele/ evem f;oated to the SICU.... This is just my opinion based on the students that I have worked with who are also seeking the similar track that you are wrong they all seem to follow the same coursework there is a super summer filled with science. Which if you don't pass science summer you're out, however if you do #summer then you're going to be taking MedSurg nursing then pediatrics maternity psychiatric at some point they have to mix and health assessment pharmacology pathophysiology and ethics... ALL OF THOSE CLINICALS ARE GENERALLY DONE OVER THE COURSE AT LEAST IN A BACHELORS PROGRAM THREE YEARS AND ASSOCIATES THEY CRAM THEM INTO TWO IN A DIRECT ENTRY THEY CRAMMED INTO ONE SO I WAS ALWAYS AMAZED WHEN I MET ONE OF THE GRADUATES WHO WENT THROUGH OBTAINING THERE ARE IN THIS WAY AND THEY JUST PASS THE BOURDS - it just seems UNSAFE. THE REASON nurse practitioners even exist is because nurses were identified as being competent enough in many areas and they needed a way to also treat more people than they had available to treat them. SO NOW YOU HAVE PROBABLY ONE MONTH TO PASS YOUR BOARDS BECAUSE YOU'RE GOING TO BE GOING RIGHT BACK INTO SCHOOL IN THE FALL WHERE ARE YOU'LL TAKE WHAT I WILL BE TAKING IN GRADUATE SCHOOL TO BECOME A NURSE PRACTITIONER I PLAN ON TWO CLASSES PER TERM TWO YEARS ON THE OTHER HAND YOU WILL PROBABLY TAKE THAT IN 18 MONTHS AND HAVE MANY MORE CLASSES THAT YOU NEED TO COMPLETE FOR THE BOARD OF NURSING TO APPROVE YOU AS A NURSE PRACTITIONER. IF YOU'RE READING THIS DON'T FORGET THIS ONE TEENSY-WEENSY BIT OF ADVICE GET YOURSELF SOME STUDENT NURSE INSURANCE YOU'RE BETTER OFF GETTING IT NOW AND JUST CONTINUALLY UPDATING IT BECAUSE EVERY NURSE MAKES A MISTAKE EVERY NP MAKES MISTAKE MDS MAKE MISTAKES BUT YOU REALLY ARE BEING THROWN TO THE WOLVES I DO WISH YOU GOOD LUCK HOWEVER I PERSONALLY WOULD PREFERRED TO SEE THE SAME PROVIDER THAT I'VE SEEN SINCE BIRTH BUT YOU KNOW THAT THE PEDIATRICIAN BUT ALL MY KIDS GO TO HIM NOW I HAVE A HARD TIME GOING BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHO'S TREATING ME AND WHO GOT PUSHED THROUGH THE PROGRAM AS FAST AS POSSIBLE IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT THINK ABOUT ALL THOSE NURSING BOOKS NO SPREAD THEM OUT FOR IN MY SITUATION 4+2---6, however in your case sounds like it comes to between 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 years you might as well break up with your significant other and tell your friends don't talk to them when you're done good luck ladies and gentlemen!

So, I have have yet to hear from anyone who was employed following obtaining an MSN NE from this school, I really would like the cost factor and time (i am a stay at home with several little ones.... I want to be an adjunct online faculty while I return for a post-masters NP. Possible?
