NYP New grad position

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hello.

I recently applied for a new grad position at NYP and I got an email saying my app is currently "being considered" for the new grad opportunity and they will "contact me within the next 2 weeks regarding next step/status etc".

Does that mean I have a chance to land an interview, or is it what everyone gets after they apply?

It was not a computer generated email.....but an email from an actual person......

Any feedbacks will be greatly appreciated! Thank you :)

I told her Neuro, OR then the float program. But then after she asked that question about who I would want to employ me, it kind of made me second guess it. I would probably put the med surg first if we were employed normally through NYP. But idk who I would call back to change it so oh well.

such a strange question....of course NYP!!

It's so annoying that they call from these numbers you can't call back. I still haven't decided what to do

Yes...agreed. I know they probably do it bc they would otherwise be flooded with calls from new grads...but still..how much time do you have to decide if you dont mind me asking?

I'm not really sure, I'm just gonna follow through with nursefinders and if NYP calls and wants me to interview before I sign anything, then yay but otherwise, the nursefinders thing is still good. Honestly, I have a ton of loans to pay off and I need money but then again, I have my whole life for that, I can spend a year making sub par money, no biggie. I'll PM you what the interview will be like though.

I see...and yes! Need to get that 1 year under our belts! Thank you!! :)

I have a semi dumb question for anyone that wants to answer. I'm going to nursefinders tomorrow to complete my paperwork, obviously I've already interviewed and got offered a job. So am I still supposed to dress professional? Or can I wear normal clothes (normal-niceish clothes)?

Specializes in General ICU.

Still dress professional. :)

If you're going just to fill out paperwork...i personally would go with business casual. not a full suit, but a nice button down shirt and some slacks.

Cool, thanks! That's what I was thinking too

hey yall! Is anyone starting orientation Monday?
