Sigh. 265 questions. Sitting in traffic crying

Nursing Students NCLEX

So I just finished my nclex. Worst day of my life. Left the testing center crying. Crying the whole way home. I really went into the test feeling confident and now my world feels crushed. So I had a lot of SATA. No drag and drop. No rhythm strips. How bad does that sound. I did hurst review to prepare. A little about me; I'm a paramedic (14 years in EMS) who decided to switch over to nursing. Now I'm thinking its time to go back. I know I'm jumping the gun and I'm super emotional but I feel so defeated. I already have my ER job that I love too. Encouragement needed. I think I I'm just going to sleep a lot the next couple days.

Take a deep breath! Going to 265 does not mean you failed. Just about everyone in my class walked out of that exam feeling like they failed no matter how many questions they had.

4 people in my class went to 265. 2 of them passed and the other 2 are awaiting results.

Does your state take part in quick results?

Hope for the best. Do something to take your mind of the exam. I recommend a dose of Netflix movies & TV series.

Hey, I went to 265 and was just certain I'd failed as none of my classmates were even coming close to that number. I really started to psych myself out, too. Was my last question "above the line?" Kind of doubted it as it was a simple, straightforward math question. Should I try the PVT? Didn't as I wouldn't have believed good results and would have been devastated by bad. I scheduled myself for a lot of work those next two days. Can't sit and cry at work, right?

Worst two two days of my life, but lo and behold, I passed. Hang in there. 265 doesn't mean you failed. In fact, I haven't seen any stats about being more or less likely to pass or fail with 265, so just don't read anything into it. It's the number of questions you answered, nothing more.

Nothing about your description of the exam tells me you failed. Pass rate for first-time applicants is somewhere between 82% and 85%, so your odds are good.

The number of questions, type of questions, format...means nothing. And everyone (or practically everyone, there are some strange birds out there, LOL!) feels as if he failed.

Good luck!

Do the Pearson Vue Trick. Its accurate. Just change the expiration date of your CC. Believe me. But its up to you. Just relax.

2 classmates had 265 questions and passed. You can get your Quick Results in 48 hours. Don't torture yourself with PVT, it's not 100% reliable.

I passed with 265. I was so sure I failed that I started studying the next day. I think everyone feels that way. Wait for the quick results and let us know how it goes.

Got to be closing in on 48 hrs and quick results.... Any news? Still pulling for you.

I had 265 questions and passed.
