  1. I failed 4x and passed on the 5th try. Don't give up! What I did on my last try was not to study too much. I used to study 8-10 hrs a day or until my brain can't take it anymore. Huge mistake! So I decided to do my own study guide, I exercise in the morning, eat a healthy breakfast, take 100 test questions then take a break before reviewing the rationales. I spent 3-4 hrs of studying plus I was working 40 hrs a week. I passed my NCLEX on my 5th try and I got promoted as a nurse supervisor at Mayo Clinic. So don't ever give up. You can do this!
  2. JaxRNBSN replied to JCAR's topic in NCLEX Exam, Programs
I failed 3x in FL instead of signing up for remedial course, I applied for NY instead. I passed and I endorsed my license to FL without taking the remedial course. Got my FL license in 2 weeks!
  3. I used Hurst and NCSBN qbank. I passed
  4. I had 265 questions and passed.
  5. You may want to consider a tutor to help you. I am a multiple test taker but I didn't give up because I want to be a Nurse and that is all the career I wanna do. I used to study 12-14 hours on my day offs and spent 5 hours after I get off from work..also I work 40 hours a week. I felt so burnt out and I was so ready to get over with the NCLEX. I was scoring 70-90% on qtrainers with Kaplan and I thought I was ready! So I took the NCLEX on November and I failed I was so depressed and I didn't know where to start again, I just want it to be over because I was so tired of studying with the same thing over and over again. So I took a month off and spent my holidays in Canada. When I get back from vacation, I made my own study guide. I started studying again but this time, I studied 2 hours after work and 5 hours on my day offs, I started working out in the gym and eat healthy. On Feb 9, I took my boards and I passed. í ½í¸Š So don't give up!
  6. I'm sorry to hear that. How are you with your content? Maybe that is your weakness? Your resources are great for practice questions. I used Hurst on my NCLEX and it really helped me how to answer questions from knowing your content.
  7. @micheyu Check the Kaplan website.
  8. I think the NCSBN questions really helped me prepared for the NCLEX. The questions are very similar to the actual test and more tricky than Kaplan. For the content, Hurst nailed it! I hate reading, so the Hurst videos were perfect for me! And oh I forgot to add the mastery app, I used it on my lunch breaks at work. Now I'm thinking about joining in the military. I'm a female so not sure how can I handle the boot camp but we'll see!
  9. Congratulations Kabayan! I took the NCLEX last week and passed. We both have pretty much the same resources, Hurst was awesome for content! Did the PDA and NCSBN for questions. Good luck future pinoy RNs!
  10. It's Priority, Delegation, and Assessment type questions. It's very helpful!
  11. I passed my boards last week. I used Hurst for content, NCSBN 3 week course for questions and PDA book by LAcharity
  12. Not all SATA are above passing questions. I passed my NCLEX RN with few SATA questions. Good luck :)
