hey guys,

i've started practicing kaplan qtrainer and qbank; and i'm not yet reaching the desired 60%..does anyone here passed nclex without reaching the 60%

q trainer 1,2,3,4 = 48-55%

q bank = {same} 48-55 %

i know, its not the % we're reaching but the content... i just wanna know where do i stand now on my review before i will take the test!

thank you for whoever would reply on this thread!:):):)

i enrolled in kaplan twice, before my 1st and before 2nd take, i never reached 60% on qbank. i only got 95% and up on qts because i keep on repeating the same test. then i stop using kaplan, because it's not working for me. i enrolled myself in hurst. answer practice questions in nclex 4000 instead. i took my nclex last tursday, and found out that i passed. maybe at some point, kaplan helped me but i would give the credit to hurst. so don't worry, percentage is not what you're studying for, focus on the quality and you should be ok.

goodluck!:)

@Nesty. thanks! where to get that NCLEX 4000..i only have the NCLEX 3500

Hey!! I took Kaplan in preparation for my NCLEX and passed. My scores were some what like yours. Do not let Kaplan define who you are. Don't panic. I like Kaplan and would recommend it. I would continue to do the questions and make sure you know the content before doing your QT's because once I was completing the course content reviews, my scores began to go up surprisingly! You can do it. Don't give up. Read my thread I just wrote on passing the NCLEX and you might get some inspiration from it... I promise you will feel much better. ;)

It's NCLEX Review 4000 Study Software for NCLEX-RN from Lippincott

i agree with nrsnikster. i took the kaplan course and had almost the same results you have. numbers can be deceiving.. the most important thing is you learn a lot from doing the practice questions in kaplan. kaplan prepared me well on my nclex. kaplan has the same format as the nclex.. i passed my boards 3 months ago with 75 questions. :)

nesty in how many questions you pass? i seen many around 75, but i read the usual is about 135... is a bit confusing...

I would review more content to be on a safe side. My instructor said below 55% meant you needed more content review. I started with 58% on my diagnostic test and ended with 74% on my readiness test. Have u reviewed the lesson on demand videos online? They help greatly. You are better off reviewing as much as you can and knowing more, than risking taking the exam again. Good luck

if you are taking pn then you will get anything from 85 to 205 and rn you can get anything from 75 to 265.

i would say work on the premise you will get maximum and if you get a lot you will not panic and make mistakes.

THANK YOU guys for all the advices/tips..il take note on that,,i still have long way to go on my reading and in practicing Q/A,hopefully it would help me,,xx :)

I'm also wondering where I stand with my scores! I am taking my NCLEX in 3 days and I'm getting scared. :( I'm doing content review with the Hurst Review online videos. I've done a total of 4,658 questions with Kaplan, Saunders, and NCLEX 4000. I've read a few chapters in Kaplan and Saunders to review but reading just makes me sleepy lately so videos and questions seem better, but I'm kind of worried that I should have read everything! Does anyone have any advice for my last few days of review?

My Kaplan scores are as follows:

QTrainer 1: 69%

QTrainer 2: 75%

QTrainer 3: 53%

QTrainer 4: 61%

QTrainer 5: 62%

QTrainer 6: 67%

QTrainer 7: 65%

Diagnostic: 70%

Readiness: 62%

Qbank: 56% (Seems really low, but I'd like to think it's because I did all of these questions before my last semester of nursing school and before the Kaplan review course.)

Your scores are consistent which is really good. I actually scored lower at the beginning, but over time my scores stayed around the 60% percentile. By the time I finished with Kaplan, I started getting restless as you were and couldn't read another thing. That's when I knew I was ready. So I took the next 2 days to relax and only studied here and there-no more than 4 hours. I was relaxed on my test day, and passed on my first time with 75 questions. I think you are ready. Don't psych yourself out. Just relax and tell yourself that you studied all that you could and you're ready now. gluck! :D
