  1. Have you tried calling accredited schools to take these courses? I'm currently taking some classes at MJC, hoping to get a chance of getting those 2 courses for fall/spring.
  2. Guys, just an update, I got the email back from DU and they just put me in the waiting list. #288 for MS and #292 for OB. That's a really long way to go, and they only give it every summer. Will still be looking for other schools for now. :)
  3. I just sent an inquiry email in Dominican University, and the person in-charge for the application is away and will be back on the 30th. Wish me luck that they still have openings.
  4. Oh okay. I didn't know that. Now I know. Sorry...:)
  5. Hi isyelmui100, if you passes NCLEX-RN in CA, aren't you supposed to have CA-RN license already before you had it endorsed in NY? I'm sorry, I'm just confused.
  6. Hi steppybay, I just received the letter yesterday from my Evaluator and determined that my nursing education is deficient in MS and OB. To meet this requirement, I have to take both theory and clinical. I'm on a search now of school, from the list they gave me, where can I enroll for this subjects. As of this moment, I really don't know anybody in our batch that were granted ATT after this strict enforcement. I heard one from the later batch from my school also had the same problem and went to school for 6 months here in CA, I really don't know the details on that, but right now, I'll just gonna do more research and will let everybody know here who have the same problem as mine.
  7. Thank you for your reply steppybay. Yes, my school sent CA BRN the Clinical Cases and the Academic Calendar, exactly what they were asking, twice. I don't know what's really going on with my application.
  8. Hi, I have the same problem and I'm wondering if anybody can give me some advice. Like a lot of you guys here. I graduated 2009 in the Philippines and move to New York 2 weeks after. Took NCLEX-RN and passed, I've been working since. Now, 5 years later, I had to move here in California due to my husband's work. Started my application since September 2014. October 2014, CA-BRN send me a letter requesting for additional information from me and my school. There were no problems providing additional information from my end. The problem started when they needed a copy of my Clinical Cases and Academic Calendar. First, BRN did not send those information from my school requesting additional information. I had to email a copy to my sister (in the Philippines) to inform my school regarding those additional information that BRN was asking. (Not really a big deal..) Second, BRN received and signed the documents from my Nursing School Dec 2014. Gave them couple of weeks to process. When I called BRN for a status, they keep on saying that I'm still missing the Record of my Clinical Cases and Academic Calendar. I called BRN again and again thinking that maybe they didn't get to my school documents yet. Feb 2015, I called over and over again, to get any status and still getting the same answer, "We still don't have the information we needed from your Nursing School", I had enough. Me and my husband, drove 5 hours to the office of BRN in Sacramento, guess what? Same answer, they don't have the information needed for my endorsement application. I requested to talk to the Licensing Supervisor, and I had a pleasure of talking to him. He explained to me what's going on with my endorsement application. I also asked for his advice and followed it as soon as we got back from the trip. I contacted my sister, and send over the same documents with the tracking number and it was signed received 2 weeks ago. I also emailed the Licensing Supervisor to confirm he got my documents from my School and he replied he did and handed it over to my Evaluator. Today, I called to follow up for any status? Then, I got the same answer.... Please, can somebody helped me or give me some advice? It will be greatly appreciated!!!
  9. I bought a lot of book and didn't use 85% of them, only 15% and passed by the 3rd time. Hurst Online Review PDA NCLEX 4000 Mosby's Medical Dictionary
  10. Goodluck! Don't forget to take some time for yourself..
  11. If this is the first time you will take NCLEX, I strongly recommend to focus on the content first, especially if you're Phil Grad. I really don't recommend studying Saunder's, too much information and the book is too thick (it makes me fall asleep just by looking how thick it is). After having a solid foundation on content, start answering questions. Then Priority Delegation and Assignment. Goodluck Kabayan.
  12. Hi, have you found any IV certification in Massachusetts? and do you know any plays where they also give BCLS? thanks
  13. You don't need a local board..I also graduated in the Philippines. No working experience and no local boards and holding a license now in NY. You'll just gonna need a lot of patience in CVS because they really take so long. Mine took almost year just for the CVS alone. If there's anything I can do to help, just let me know...
