Nursing Students NCLEX

So I took the NCLEX RN 7/9/14 at 8am. I was super nervous the say before. I was even considering that maybe I was not as prepared. Having my exam cut off was utterly frightening and a relief all in one! As I walked to my car, I logged on to pearson vue to attempt the trick. I got the good pop up. Thank goodness!!! I just want to take time out to encourage those who are preparing for the boards to practice, think, stay focused and calm and you will pass!! Good luck to those who have yet to test and congratulations those who already passed!! This a awesome field we've chosen!!!

Congrats to one of the newest RN's!

hey, congrats!! I took mine yesterday too 7/9/2014 and it blanked out at 75 and I felt defeated. I was in shock and i wasn't sure if I should throw up or cry or be relived. Some of the questions seemed easier than they should have been which is partially what worried me. Well, I couldn't muster the guts to do the pop up in my car because I wanted to be alone or ask someone to do it for me in case it was bad. I was too nervous. Once I got home, I couldn't wait any longer and there it was the "good pop up." I hope it's not a computer fluke because I am very happy now!! Congrats again!!

I took it 2 days ago and also passed with 75. Did you guys who also had 75 have a massive amount of SATA? At least 60 of my questions were SATA (not exaggerating), with 2 drop down questions.. very few were simple multiple choice. I was wondering if other people were bombarded like me. It was horrible.

Specializes in Acute Rehab, Neuro/Trauma, Dialysis.

Congratulations!

@happynurse14: SATA questions are in all levels of the NCLEX exam, the exam is completely randomized. The question selection is based only on what level you are on. The computer does not know the content of the previous questions nor does it know the question type. It just knows what level you are on and randomly selects questions from that levels question bank.

yea, more than half my exam was SATA. I think only 20 weren't. I am very good at memorizing questions because I obsess so much about them and I counted 20 non SATA, I had 2 thing where I had to put a nursing task in order, 1 picture, 1 EKG (also SATA).

Happynurse14 - Same here. Thank God it shut off at 75, because I don't think I could have taken much more!

Which state did you apply for?

I am so Happy for you!:D

Congratulations. Always fun to hear success stories.

Congrats to one of the newest RN's!

Thank you!! I'm so glad it's over!!
