  1. I had my RN and didn't have clinicals. I'm sorry
  2. I got an A in the course, but I felt what they asked of us was beyond reasonable. I basically worked, studied, slept and did it again the next day. It was not designed for nurses. It was meant for an Econ major
  3. Collaborative Nursing is a nursing management course. I thought about challenging it. Never would have passed. There is lots to learn. Most classes in nursing have 3 major projects Now a BSN, RN!
  4. I found it similar to EBP. You will have 3 major assignments re: to a change project. Your 3rd is a Power Point presentation on your change project. Choose a topic you are very comfortable with. That will make it easier.
  5. Hi NM. I am also planning on a January start date. The best to you
  6. As an RN,CDE, I am thinking there are opportunities in many settings. I wonder if some that answered did so impulsively or did their research
  7. I graduated with my BSN at 61. I got my RN(diploma) at 21
  8. I found the course similar to EBP. There is a 15-20 PPT change project. I had Prof Egenes. She was fantastic. I was unsure about what content they were looking for on a slide and asked if I could send it to her. She allowed me to do that. The content was correct and I got 225/225. She was always encouraging and now I have my BSN.
  9. I took Comparative Religion. It was a fascinating class but a lot to learn in 8 weeks
  10. I am an RN,CDE. I specialize in DM. I am not sure what you are referring to when you say D/L. Insulin is always ordered in units. You will always use U100 insulin and a U100 .3, .5 or 1.0 ml syringe-unless you have pens. You probably won't see U500 insulin. Please clarify and I can try to help you. Joyce
  11. Thanks for that info. I am at Chamberlain now. The DeVry courses are significantly harder!
  12. I read those awful reviews, as well. I think it is sad that they don't offer stats for nurses or an Econ class for nurses. I am scheduled for Econ in March and will take it w/o a nursing class. I will say I chose to take College Algebra and Stats at a local DeVry campus. I had two of the most incredible profs for those classes. The dean of academics was amazing. I remained friends with the algebra professor and will forever. They should def have the same standards, but they don't. Work ahead, and in stats, do the homework until you have 100%! Good luck!
  13. I am SCHED for collaborative nursing and history of Vietnam in Jan. how is that course? Lots of writing and exams? Thanks.
  14. Brutal is mild. Tutors are a must. At least yours is for healthcare workers. Mine (done in 2 weeks) was not for healthcare workers. I have 2 tutors! Can't wait to be done and never look back. No MSN for me if stats are a must, again!
