We have all used this web site for finding out information on nursing in the UK , nursing in the USA, Canada, Australia and all over the world. I personally have used it following taking the NCLEX and all throught the immigration process.

I have met some fantastic people through this web page and spoken with others personally So thanks to the following people who have supported me through the past two years and especially the last year.

So thanks to Allnurses for giving me these special people

Siri who spend a whole year giving me lots of advice and has listened to my worries and problems and has been my lovely friend, and whom I cant wait to meet.

Cariad one of my bestest friends whom without all nurses I would never have met, and then would have missed out on some great laughs, sorrows and memories.

Silverdragon who I have spend many a conversation with and has given me great advice, who has kept me supplied in goodies from the UK. We look forward to seeing you in the summer.

Suzanne again thanks for all your advice whilst I was in the UK and the support and advice here in the US

Bettyboop cant wait for you to get here and I loved our phone calls in the UK, and again a friend I wouldnt have had without allnurses.

Mr and Mr OG how we enjoy having you over here even if we dont meet up like we would like-our busy life styles and my fear of driving, I really should get hypnotised. I enjoy our weekly phonecalls. We've a date spring break.

Alex we met on allnurses and worked at the same hospital briefly prior to my car accident-we should all meet up again this summer

Thistlegirl we have communicated on here for a long time and we met today and it was fantastic.

and to everybody else who are too numerous to mention I look forward to meeting and communication with each and everyone of you.

So how many of the girls/guys on allnurses have made real friends and keep in touch?? Or I am the only lucky one??

hey madwife, i think that some of us have made the closest friends on here, i too have made contact and met some personally, and some by phone.

siri...is a friend made that doesnt let anyone down, her advice and support in times of need are worth listening to.

mr&mrs og... its great to hear welsh accents so close to where we live and must meet up more often when we are fit.

bettyboop....whose family are going to be close friends when they get here.

thistlegirl... who we have met recently and hope to have contact with again when her and her family get here. dh will return to his thick scottish accents with them.

silverdragon....who we hope to meet.

english nurse...who we also hope to meet.

and last but not least a very mad woman who calls herself madwife, whose family has become our family.

And I have met many from all over the world...................both on-line, via phone, and some even in person when they were in the US visiting.

Siri is Auntie Siri to Austin and Sabrina.

And the rest are too many to mention but you know who you are. I would be afraid of leaving someone off.

Its interesting how the internet has made the world a smaller place and how attitudes have changed to meeting people who you first communicated with via a online forum,

Just think ,as little as five years ago, if you had only communicated via email with someone and then gone off across the world to meet them, everyone would have thought you were absolutely crazy, now it is completely acceptable.

The internet is wonderful, i have made friends on here too, whom i would never would have crossed paths with in a million years if i hadnt been on this forum, some i have yet to meet, and others i am really looking forward to meeting.

I too hope to meet some of the people who have helped, guided & chastised me here on Allnurses (& who will, no doubt, be doing the same for many a month & year to follow!)

Have made so many friends on all nurses was surprised to reflect on how many:

cariad: howdy to my future neighbors who would have guessed that we would be neighbors this time last year, looking forward to gossiping over the fence LOL.

Madwife: seen you go through hell and back but still be there for everyone else without a moments hesitation, can't wait till we have our pool party's hint hint.

silverdragon: someone else who has been at this process as long as we have nice to know were not the only ones.

Englishnurse: again like me in the awful retrogression phase can't wait to meet everyone in person, keep up the good work with the diet and stay away from the take aways LOL.

The list goes on and on, can all of you imagine what it is going to be like when we all are out in the USA the phone company's will love us all.

I have chatted to Silverdragon a few times on MSN, and have swapped one or two emails with belinda-Wales and i hope to speak and hopefully meet up with more of you if we ever get out to Arizona, which seems like is forever away seeings we have just started the process

Hi GUys...sorry I havent been around for a while - things been hectic here....

Like others I have made a few friends on here too, Silverdragon (who I havent spoken to for a while sorry), English Nurse, Betty Boop to name a few.....keep in touch with a lot from MSN aswelll but sadly not on there long enough at the moment.....

Hoping to meet up with a few few of you when you lot get to Arizona as we plan to go there within the next 12 months or so to vacation!!! LOL

I agree - this place rocks - I would never have had the courage to visit the US last year without you all, and would be so despondent without the friendship of madwife, siri and bettyboop and others - you are all great and have made my life so much richer for knowing you - thank you!
