i've really made a firm commitment to exercise...especially being in school...and good 45 min. brisk walk is a huge stress reliever!!!

Aug 8, '02I started going to a gym and eating healthier since January. Only lost 10 lbs. but I'm down 4 sizes. Trying to lose those pregnancy pounds too.

Aug 8, '02I want in on this too. I just recently started the slim fast plan. Plus I have given up pop almost all together I drink it once a day if that and the rest of the day I drink water. I just have problems staying motivated to exercise so having a group will help me.
Aug 8, '02Count me in. I have been calorie counting (using a program on my Palm) since 5/16 and have lost 17 pounds. Would LOVE support to get rid of the last 6 pounds.

I'm lucky in that I have never been overweight but it doesn't mean I can't get that way. If I let up on my exercise or healthy eating, the pants start to fit a little tighter. I am a master's prepared exercise physiologist and will be re-certifying as an exercise specialist in October. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions you have on eating and exercise.
I do have a couple of tips for those of you struggling with the exercise. Walk. Park your car far away and walk. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Walk your dog, your child your significant other. Try videos. Set a goal like a charity race, Race for the Cure etc. I stayed in great shape last spring by training for the Country Music half marathon. Do yoga, weights, milk jugs work pretty well. Shape magazine has a great home wieght workout in the sept issue.

If I could drop 30 pounds, I'd be the a svelte size 9/10...:kiss...can't get too thin because I don't like being thin anyway.....but I do like being able to wear certain clothing that I am not able to wear right now. I'm getting more depressed because of the weight gain since being on the pill, but it has done wonders for me emotionally speaking, so I guess I can't have both right now. Aug 11, '02count me in too!!! i have been on the high protein diet for 20 days. although i haven't weighed myself (too depressing), i have went down a size in clothes! so i am gungho and ready to lose about 50 pounds!!!!
