Tweety, you are right;beans are good for ya. Got a 15 bean mix soaking for soup for tomorrow. Trying to incorporate more of these into my diet w/o gassing out the house. MY poor lil digestive system is shocked rofl.

You know since beans have been such a staple in my diet for years I forget they do that some folks. When I first started eating beans when I used to be a vegetarian about 14 years ago, they did cause gas problems. But I perservered because I read eventually your body gets used to them. It's true, now I don't have a problem. Since going off vegetarian, I still incorporate a lot of beans into my diet without difficulty.

Jess, it's a tough time of year. I'm not even going to think I'm capable of loosing any weight. I'm just determined not to throw healthy living out the window and gain any weight.

Hopefully, this year will be moderation. (But if my Thanksgiving gluttony is a clue, I'm trouble. LOL)

Being that it is my birthday today, I was SKEERED to touch this thread today. I'm letting go today, and eating things I hardly ever eat...or never eat on a regular basis anyway. Tomorrow, I will behave myself, but ya only have one birthday a year...thank the Lord!

Thanks a lot you guys. Tweety, when I reach my goal, I fully intend to incorporate "good carbs" like beans and non-refined grains back into my diet. I can't wait, but I still have some work to do.

Jess - glad I am not alone. Thank goodness the holidays don't last all year (I am like you - I used to not even think about eating a pie and a half in one night - now I feel guilty about a piece of cake - hehe - yeay - that's progress)!

Deb, thanks for the encouragement, I am trying so hard - some days are easier than others. This thread really helps keep me in check though, I think I would have failed long ago without it!

    Have a good evening everybody.

Jess, we all have our "sticking" points.....I know I do.

I was good, went to Curves today, doing the circuit 1 1/2 times. My goal is to do it twice 3-4 days a week. I need to really work on this poor body. A lady there lost 70 lb and 100 cholesterol points in 1 year, doing the circuit 2x 3 days a week. I am building some steam....getting stronger. I just need to leave those SWEETS alone!!!!

SO you are not alone, Jess.

Sarah, WAY TO GO ----you are doing terrific!
You must have more machines . . .we go around 3 times.

We do have plenty of machines, double everything. So we only have to go around the circle once.

I went to the gym and did a very good workout with 40 minutes of cardio.

I made salmon salad for lunch (kind of like tuna salad but with canned salmon instead) and added curry powder to it, which was a nice taste.

I'm debating weather or not to go to yoga again tonight.

Deb - I am here, just been decorating the office all day, so not around the computer. I finally got up all our Christmas decorations - it looks beautiful!

Jess - hmm, can I blame pre-reqs too? Ugh - unfortunately I have another semester though. Maybe I'd better not.

Gotta run - been decorating but not working, now I have a ton of cases to process and enter. Yikes! Won't be in tomorrow, but will "see" y'all again Friday!
