i was a nursing assistant for 1 year, have been an lpn 10 years ( 11 years this year) and i am in my 1st/5 clinical rotation of rn school.

I graduated from college in May 1997. I took and passed (thank GOD) the NCLEX-RN on August 6, 1997. I've been an RN for a little over 5 years now and there isn't anything else that I'd rather do.

11 yrs here......... not counting CNA before entering LPN school..... LPN 2 yrs......... and RN ever since........... seems like I never left school between LPN and RN.........and I like 3 classes having my BSN

Glass suction bottles
Urine glucose testing tablets in test tubes (plop plop fizz fizz...)
Not wearing gloves...for ANYTHING!

Hand typed registration...on a typewriter with a ribbon!

LatteGuzzler...I''m with you. Even everything you remember. I've been in nursing for 26 years also. Nice memories of old times. Retrospective payment was a sweet memory.
