I'm typing this thinking " I'm going mad, the doctor says it's O.K." but I'm still a little concerned. I know I've been a little stressed out lately, and the ferals are giving me a bit of curry but....

I've been having these massive palpitations, my heart feels like it's about to explode, x 4 a day. I've also been getting that "rushing" sound in my ears, like high BP. When I went to the doctor he took it at 130/80 which is fine but mine is usually at about 100/50. He wont do anything about it, says it's fine but I'm still getting palpitations and that whooshing and it's driving me even more insane than I usually am! Am I worrying about nothing? Do you think I should get a second opinion? He seems to think it's normal, I'm not so sure also having ^SOB ( That's shortness of breath, not the other!:) ) when walking, mowing the lawn etc. I don't know, just tell me I'm not going round the bend O.K.?! Not drinking caffiene, cut down on the cigs and still no results four weeks without coffee is killing me, I don't know which is worse! LOL!! HELP ME!!!!

Get a second opinion. These symptoms aren't normal and your doc is dismissing you. Go somewhere else....:)

I agree. Cripes! Is there a single doc out there who can treat a female patient without deciding "it's all in your head, dearie"? :(

Next time a doc tells you that ("it's all in your head, dearie"?) tell the doc: "You can't fool me. There's nothing in my head."

But I would suggest you get a second opinion, resume one cup of coffee/day and learn the English language in your spare time. ("the ferals are giving me a bit of curry"). What is that?

Of course, it is not terribly surprising that you are having these sxs, since you people are upside down there, aren't you? No wonder the blood is rushing to your head.

I don't know precisely what "giving me a bit of curry" means (although I can guess, given the context), but I do know that Aussie refers to her children as feral, which never fails to crack my sh*t up. :D

Aussie, get a second opinion! Those are scary symptoms and I dont even know anything yet!

Just watching out for my bud.

2ND OPINION, PREFERABLY FROM FEMALE PRACTICIONER! GOOD LUCK!

I've been having heart palpitations for years. I finally got the name of a cardiologist to get it checked out. My advice--do the same. Yours sound a bit worse than mine, prob. nothing to be too concerned about, but do you really want to risk your heart??? Demand attention.

Specializes in MS Home Health.

Consider seeing a cardiologist. Start a bp log. Encourage wearing a halter. I get the rushing ear sound when my BP is elevated just like you said.

renerian

hey friend, go with the masses on this one, get it checked by someone else, second opinion ,and or cardiologist!

good luck!

2. opinion and tell the ferals to take their curry and give it to someone else.

Take care, Renee

Sjoe, I hope that was meant to be funny or what?
