What to wear to fill our paperwork at new job?

So I got my very first RN job! Woot woot! I wore a business suit to the interview but now I'm going in next week to fill out HR paperwork, background check stuff, etc. and I want some advice about what to wear. The nurses at the facility were wearing basic scrubs but I haven't gotten information about dress code yet so I don't want to dress inappropriately. I was leaning towards business casual, I figured that's safe. But I wanted to know what your thoughts are.

I always dress professionally every time I set foot in my workplace, for meetings, inservices and the like. Why not? I can wear blue jeans or sweats any old time. It's fun to put together a smart looking outfit.

Business casual sounds good. Or something a little more fun, like a pretty skirt and blouse.

I think you should wear business attire. You can never dress to professional.

You can NEVER go wrong with wearing neat slacks and a flattering blouse. Ever. Business casual all the way.

Would depend on the gender of your boss.

Business casual. Scrubs are not appropriate unless you are actually working today and those scrubs are your work uniform. Never shows up to anything job relayed in jeans or shorts.

I'm actually thrilled to see this question. Business casual is the answer.

Unfortunately, I see many new nurses come in looking as though they were dressed for the beach -- shorts, flip flops, strapless tops, tank tops . . . and in one case a mini dress so short I know she had pink panties. Please dress as though you expect to meet your new manager and the CEO of the hospital on the elevator!

Everybody has answered the question, but just to add something... Sometimes they will have yoget ur badge, shots, signature from ur manager etc... It's a good idea to be properly dressed in case you bump into someone imports To=)
