As a younger nurse I took a job as a Camp nurse at a 4-H camp. I think Disney World would be similar. It's Dream job, but in the end it wasn't fun. The place I wanted to be was out with the campers, not with sick kids (motion sickness from buses) handing out aerosol bug spray, and one kid got sun poisoning, definitely not fun...driving her to hospital 45 minutes away. I got to take my small kids with me, and they enjoyed the camp while I worked, and we lived in a "dorm".
I"m in FL & know some former Disney workers who are now nurses. They wish they were back at Disney cuz even Disney recognizes the fact that "being on stage" requires breaks, lunch and water during a shift. The hospitals in FL not so much
ALL Disney workers are unionized! There is strength in numbers. Disney used to have draconian workplace rules for their employees. They are also VERY actlive against law suits against them in their parks.
They have also not been very nice neighbors for the surrounding communities. At least in California, they have been VERY agressive about aquiring property surrounding the parks in order to expand. They have been known to hound people incessantly until they sold their property to Disney. I remember a story about an elderly Japanese farmer who finally committed suicide after Disney had his property comdemned by the City of Anaheim because he refused to sell his farm to Disney. The land had been in his family for generations, he was born on it, and raised his family on it. He was in his 80's or 90's when he committed suicide. It was very sad.
Most of you don't know/remember what Orange County was like before Disney built Disney land. It was all farms, and orange groves. Until recently, if you drove down Harbor Blvd, there were still farms sandwiched in between the fancy hotels. Just some cocktail party trivia.

Heads up on Disney,
My son when he first moved to Disney worked in one of the Parks one one of those trams you get on to get from the parking lot to the parks. Disney was all about time, get there on time no matter what. They were very concerned about safety - human that is. But, not about animal. They instructed their drivers to just run over anything in your way, ducks, cats, ect. The riders would never see the carnage. My son never did that, but one time there was a family of geese, the mom had just gotten out of harms way, but the ducklings were in the path of the tram. My son slowed and swerved slightly to miss the ducks, and was reprimaneded. I know I would never want to work for a company like that.
