Looking over the literature for UPMC St Margaret's LPN program, it looks like there are about 900. This is a 52-week program.

Two year program with one year of pre-requisite courses. AAS community college based program. Completed about 900 hours not including pre-clinical work, on call time, or community service.

Quality experience in nursing homes, general hospitals, home health, child development/rehab centre, and even a large Indian hospital. Rotated through all specialties and had to do a delivery or take call until we could get one under our belt.

I'm not from near you, from New Zealand. Doing a BHsc (Nursing) and we get 1500 clinical hours before graduation, for a 3 year degree. It's supposed to be pretty important around here and Australia on how many hours u have had

1700hrs over three years for a bachelor of nursing in Australia.

There's a thread in the Australian & NZ nursing forum on this, too.
