Inspiring video for LTC Nurses and others- "Parent's Wish"

Nurses General Nursing

Published

this is a lovely video which also applies to nurses and others providing care for our "greatest generation."

i decided to post it in the general forum, rather than the ltc board, because nearly all of us care for elderly people in some capacity.

turn up your speakers!

Thank you so much for posting this. It is particularly meaningful to me right now as I am at my dad's house with my sister and brother trying to decide what modifications Dad needs to make as he deals with advanced age and many chronic illnesses. He currently lives alone, but I'm afraid he won't be able to do this any longer. This video really made me stop to think.

You're welcome, tnbutterfly.

I've watched the video three times now and have bawled like a baby every time.

That was beautiful..........I'm wiping away tears as I'm typing this.

I work with the elderly and love them dearly, so this is particularly meaningful for me. Think I'll share it with my staff as well. Thank you.

this should be a part of every, single inservice and orientation, in every type of facility.

thank you for sharing this.

so lovely and bittersweet.:redpinkhe
