YES! Finally!! We had our pinning ceremony tonite and it feels so wierd. I almost feel lost and empty inside. Our class was really like one big dysfunctional family. We are all friends! Maybe it has been sooooo long since I have had a life that it feels scary trying to have one outside of school. Anyway, just thought I'd announce the news!!

Thank you all for your wonderful words!! I actually did take it upon myself to get everyone's email address, phone number and mailing address. I am the "reunion coordinator". I figure that I will email everyone and try to get updates thru out the year, then compile that info and send to everyone else in a newsletter around the holidays! Then maybe a potluck or BBQ every Summer. Luckily, most of us live pretty close to each other (within 30 mile radius.)

I am scheduled to take the NCLEX June 29th!! That is the day after my 25th bday!! My 1st day on the floor as an orientee is actually on my birthday. I guess that it's a great day to start to the rest of my career (at my quarter century mark).

I have worked the last year as a nursing assistant on the Oncology floor....and that is where I will become an RN!! So, luckily I know everyone. I was afraid that the other nursing assts would be resentful towards me...however, they are excited for me since they are in the process of becoming nurses too. I am proof to them that they CAN do it (a couple of them said those exact words)

Thanks again to all of you out there!! And to all you nursing students....DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM!! I thought about stopping many times due to the stress involved. I am sooooooooooooo glad I stuck thru this. :) Tweetiepie

Congrats!! :balloons: You'll do just fine. I remember how I felt when I graduated...the same way that you feel now. You'll get through it and now you'll get PAID for what you do! :chuckle

You should be so proud of yourself. But it is like the old saying "is there life after the prom" , when you work so hard for something and spend so much energy on somethingthat sometimes it is hard to see past the event. But yes there is life after the prom,, it iwll all come back to you soon. You will remember what it is like to be you:)
