But I agree. So tired of "HIPPA."

I'm doing a CNA course right now (prereq for nursing school) and on our list of acronyms it actually had HIPPA. I couldn't let it slide and spoke up about the typo.

The dean of my nursing program even writes "HIPPA" on everything. Drives me batty.

The funny thing is, not only do they not know how to spell it, but most people are woefully misinformed about the actual law, but they pretend they do.

It is truly astonishing how many nurses waaaayyy the heck up in the hierarchy (like Deans) call it HIPPA. I don't get it.
