Curious to know if any of you work with men who have excessive chest hair and it sticks out of their scrubs...

I do and I just cringe! This guy could make a carpet out of his chest I think. Is it wrong for me to think that he should wear a t-shirt underneath his scrubs to cover that up? I'm not the only person at work who feels this way.

Any input is appreciated...

I wish my husband HAD a hairy chest. :crying2:

My first one didn't have hair either. Makes me wonder why I marry the "hairless type". :rotfl:

Gross! Never dated a unibrow, and never saw one like that! A clipping of the brow is definitely in order for that young charmer! ;) :chuckle

I think I will stop following this thread. I am getting a complex.

Back hair ranks up there with gnarly ear hair for me!!

Funny story, my current BF and I met online. After a couple months we sent pictures to each other. He sent one of himself and he was furry front AND back!

I really liked the guy. I was amazed but I wrote back and told him I LIKED fur. I wasn't disgusted really just surprised. And it really REALLY didn't matter...

Well he wrote back and what he'd sent was a gag photo :)

What a nut!

We "should" all strive for a professional image in how we present ourselves... Just follow your facilities dress code and if it states that all hairy men should wear an undershirt then I would definitely call my Lawyer!

Why not be more concerned about his nursing abilities and less about his chest hair?

People come in all shapes, sizes, colors, flavors and degrees of hairiness!

What's on the inside, is much more important than if they have a hairy body that is visible above their scrub top!

Is it wrong to think this hairy guy should wear a t-shirt...

what do you think...

and when someone notices some physical thing about you that makes them "cringe" would it be wrong for them to point it out and ask you to cover it up?

Let's concentrate on what's on the inside!

Weeeelll, I thought we were gonna be talking about women here. I don't mind hairy men..or women. All my nursing work has been in womens' health and I think I have seen it all. People come in a fascinating range of colors, shapes, sizes and hairiness. I think it's neat. Maybe I'm wierd! Also, hair pattern and courseness can tell you alot about a woman's health.

When I was going through Massage Therapy school, I had to do a one hour massage on this guy who was a Sasquach (sp). This guy had a carpet of hair from head to toe...It really started to gross me out when I would reach down for more lotion (trust me it took a lot of lotion to get my hands to glide) and I had tufts of his hair wrapped around my fingers ............ ......EEEWWWWWWWwwwwwwww!! :imbar

the ob-gyn's where i work do laser hair removal and some other cosmetic procedures. when they first started one of the female dr's told us they were "practicing" on their office staff. she also promised she would rid us of the unpleasant task of looking at her partners really gross unibrow. i almost wet myself laughing! it had been a joke among the nurses for several years. the full body sweater look really grosses me out.

Texagain...would you please elaborate on what you mean by this since I've never heard of hair patterns and courseness having any tell-tell signs about a woman's health? Thanks for responding! :)
