Curious to know if any of you work with men who have excessive chest hair and it sticks out of their scrubs...
I do and I just cringe! This guy could make a carpet out of his chest I think. Is it wrong for me to think that he should wear a t-shirt underneath his scrubs to cover that up? I'm not the only person at work who feels this way.
Any input is appreciated...
I am yet another Austin Powers clone, male RN. Excuse the pun, but alas, what has happened to us? Look at our emasculated society! Men cannot be, well... men, anymore. Consider our current crop of Hollywood heartthrobs: Leonardo Di Caprio, Val Kilmer, Brad Pitt, et al come across like a clan of prepubescent lesbians! The only actor I can think of who actually looks like a greasy, hairy, he-man, is Alec Baldwin, and he ain't exactly on the A-list anymore! Besides, an hairy chest, back, bum, palms (well, maybe not the latter) are all a matter of genetics, not fashion choice! By the way, I do wear a t-shirt; I even try to coordinate its colour with the monkey suit. Deodorant too, but unscented, naturally, per our "fragrance free workplace" policy! Woe is me. Please, pray for the endangered species known to anthropologists as "macho sapiens".
We had a guy on our floor last night who'd just gotten admitted with the hairiest ears on the planet, when the doctor when to look in his ears he couldn't see anything, had to come out and ask the nurse if there was some way to "cut some of that out". I went with the nurse to assist. By the time we were finished, we have two plastic medicine cups full of ear hair.

My wife digs my chest hair however, when I have her shave my neck she usually goes all the way to my waistline.
