I am thinking about moving.

I work at an assisted living health center in Charlotte, NC...I have no experience whatsoever and just started last week. They started me out at 11.00/hr

Specializes in LTC, Rehab, CCU, Alzheimers, Med-Surg.

LTC in SW Michigan 10-12 starting

Hospitals in SW Michigan 12-15 starting

I made $10.83 for my first 8 hours, and made an extra $1ish for my last 4 hours at my old job, and now I make $12.23 at this hospital with shift diff for my last 4 of a 12 hour shift.

Long Island, NY 15.91 an hour to start ltc for 11-7 night shift

$12.25/hr for HH Agency. (Central Mass)

Cost of living is HUGE thing to consider. Where we've been thinking about moving to in MN the rate is a little over $7.00/hr.....but you can get a gorgeous 5 bdrm house there for under 180K.

Specializes in CNA.

Well the pay here in Oklahoma is only $8..blah!! not good!

Anyone from MD want to add to this convo?

I am from CT. I worked in a nursing home for $13./hr, now work as a Home Health Aide making $12/hr with .50/mile and travel time as well. the nice thing is I still get 8 hours a day but the work load isn't as hard as it would be in a facility. best of luck!
