CNA's/PCT's how much do you make?

I am thinking about moving.

I make 15.00 an hour in a convalescent hospital...but a regular hospital pays more...I think they start you off at 18.00 an hour..

My hospital In Arizona pays 12.75-15.00/hr

Specializes in LDRP.

at the LTC i work at in PA, pcas start at 9.00, CNAs start at 12.00, ive heard anywhere from 9-15 an hour for other facilities.

Your pay depends on where you work. Here in Moscow, Idaho, I'm making barely above minimum ($7.62/hour) until I'm certified, which is going to be within the next couple of weeks. After that my raise is going to be about $2.00 more per hour, I'm told. I work in a LTC facility in which cost containment is the most important factor. Apparently these guys just can't afford to pay their CNA's any more than that. In over 25 years I've never worked for such low pay and in such a dangerous high-risk environment....however I had to start somewhere.

Specializes in Geriatrics.

$15 an hour on 3rd shift in assisted living/LTC. I live in Southern NH and I have 3 years experience.

The hospital in hampton roads virginia pays about 9.30-10.50 plus night diff

CNAs start at $9-$10 an hour in LTC facilities here in northeast TN.

Hospitals seem to range from $10-$15 an hour

Specializes in Critical Care, Capacity/Bed Management.

16.75 an hour, 3.00 night shift differential and 1:00 weekend diff. Its awesome 12 hour shifts are the best

LTC's around here usually start at around 9.00, hospitals start at around 10.00 with 2nd and 3rd shift differentials (Wisconsin)

You also have to look at cost of living btw. Someone in the San Fransisco area might be making 18.00 an hour as a CNA but cost of living is much much higher.

PCTs in my Philly hospital start at 13.00.

CNA north carolina 11.50 per hour 3rd shift
