Yale 2015

I've never posted here before but I am going to be applying to Yale School of Nursing this fall for a 2015 start in the GEPN program, CNM/WHNP cohort. Wondering if there are others out there preparing to do the same? I'm heading down to their info session next week.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat! That is super lucky you had a backup. I managed to get my person to submit her stuff after emailing her countless times. She sent me a copy, but forgot she had to upload them to the applications. I was worried about hassling her but she acknowledged if I wasn't emailing her a bazillion times she wouldn't have done it. Hopefully all this stress is worth it. I say that with extra enthusiasm as I sit in my office dreading the waiting period.

Ugh, at least she got it in! How stressful was it knowing your application might not be reviewed because someone ELSE couldn't meet a deadline? Scary. But now we can relax about that portion. Now...anxiety over who gets an interview haha. Patience is not my strong suit lol

Same...I just spent at least an hour reading over old Yale, Columbia and MGH posts to see when we'll hear anything. I thought that might make it seem like a shorter wait...It didn't work. Maybe the post-application anxiety and tension will wear off after a while. At least if we do get interviews, the interview didn't sound too intimidating. Now to find a really really distracting hobby for the next month and a half (and then some for the other schools)!

I'm gonna be taking some online forensic nursing classes to distract myself. Hopefully it works...

I also had to find a last minute recommender when the professor I asked in AUGUST suddenly fell off the face of the planet. I hope he's okay and not having health issues but it's still incredibly stressful to do all of this work and have it come down to one person. Done is done though. Now the wait... :)

I found out my original recommender came down with shingles and went in for surgery Friday. I'm glad she's alright. And I hope your recommender is alright also. But yes, it's done! That stress is over. Last year's Yale posts stated around mid-Dec people got calls for interviews in January. So.Far.Away!
