Thursday I start my first rotation in acute care. I am scared out of my mind I am going to do something wrong or forget to do something. I feel like I have no idea what to do when I get there. I know I have done the skills in the lab but when I get to clinical I hate being just thrown into it. Any advice to get through the day?

Relax, enjoy, and learn.
You will be supervised and not thrown into anything alone.
Just remember the patient safety always comes first and speak up if you don't know how to do something. Also, remember that many patients love to have someone to talk to.

You'll be okay. No one will be throwing you into anything, so just relax, remember you're there to learn, and ask lots of questions!

We started off in pairs so we weren't alone, a lot of people in my class had no patient care experience and now, almost through our second semester, every one is doing great. We are here to learn and you are not alone, if you're not sure, ask questions. You'll do fine and it will be a day you won't soon forget. Best of luck to you on this journey!
