Extra salt ?? Maybe he put some kind of acid or something in your drink.

Yep, that's what I was thinking, too. It wasn't salt -- just looked like it so you weren't suspicious at the time.
Was it a place that you're familiar with? I'd want to find out if anyone there knew who that guy was, and let them know what you suspect.
How creepy! What is he'd done that to someone who had no husband or friend to leave with? Isn't that how rapists sometimes pick up their victims -- "You're too drunk/sick to drive? Here, I'll give you a ride home..." ?!!
Drink spiking is real - it happens - I agree see the local police - get a tox screen and see if you can get follow up - Okay you were lucky this time - you might not feel it and you have had a bad experience BUT that creep is still out there - what about the next girl??? The police have to know. I would also do it to CYA otherwise it could come back to bite you - 12 moths later - drug screen of my hair sure - but there is the tell tale drug spike. Okay so the last may never happen but it does not hurt to ensure that you do have proof that you were the victim and not the instigator,
well it all seems very suspicious i agree. i was aquainted with some people in the 70's and 80's who used lsd and actually a bad trip is sort of rare, possibly because you were unaware of what was going on this could be enough to cause a bad trip however a few other things don't quite jibe with lsd either sleep would pretty much be impossible it is a natural adreline booster, again though mixed with alcohol who knows. i would suggest some research into the date rape drug i just did a quick search
on rohypnol or street name roofies
the drug produces a sedative effect, amnesia, muscle relaxation, and a slowing of psychomotor responses. sedation occurs 20-30 minutes after administration and lasts for several hours.
rohypnol, particularly when mixed with alcohol or other drugs may lead to respiratory depression, aspiration, and even death. when taken repeatedly, it can lead to physical and psychic dependence, which is thought to increase with both dose and duration of use. an amnesia producing effect of "roofies" may prevent users from remembering how or why they took the drug or even that they were given it by others.

secodn site
adverse effects: adverse effects of rohypnol use include, decreased blood pressure, memory impairment, drowsiness, visual disturbances, dizziness, confusion, gastrointestinal disturbances and urinary retention.

and lastly i did have this site pop up as well they sell a test for the drug if you want to test yourself without having to involve any medical facility. i don't have any idea how long a positive test would result.

i am sorry this has happened to you and i wish you the best of luck in coping and tahnk god your husband was in attendance.
Just file a police report. It's the quickest, easiest, quickest way to get on record if you're worried about a possible employer-drug screen. You'll be on record as swearing to the circumstances, and there might even be official follow-up, such as looking for the guy on security videotape (which is often useless, anyway).
If you have a local Fox Network television station, they would probably love to be all over a story like this, including putting the guy's picture on TV (at least here in Kansas City--in Chicago, say, prolly not).
About the drug screen, in my experience the screen is usually an ELISA (?--enzyme-linked immuno-specific assay) test that specifically screens for marijuana, amphetimines, cocaine, opioids, and barbituates...I thought on mine there were 5 tests and one control. What you got sounds more like an overdose of a minor tranquilizer--pull out your pharmacology textbook--the hallucinations prolly came from (over)activation of the limbic system---I'm totally pulling this out of you-know-where, but the point is that psyche drugs are (I believe, but am probably wrong!) different in chemical structure from street drugs, so wouldn't hit on the typical employment-drug screen.
Hope this helps.
If you are all concerned about fallout, start by filing and signing a police report, then ask to have it included in your personnel file (MAYBE--I've read employment lawyers suggest this, but my first instinct is always to not bring stuff up.)
Good luck, and next time just mention the problem to the bartender--he'll probably be able to help out a little.
Thanks so much everyone,
It's always so nice to come here with my problems...you are all sooooo supportive!!! Anyways...yeah..I guess I never thought about the drug screening part of this.... That would be horrible if they tested me and I came up positive....obviously it wouldn't be my fault...but you are all right...how could I really prove it without some kind of report, etc. I also think I should say something to the bar......to keep this from happening again. That's the weird part though....what if this guy is innocent and I just had a really bad reaction to what I drank for some reason. It's just one of those kind of iffy things..u know? Also....would a tox screen show anything this far out?? I guess I don't have a lot of experience with them??? I suppose certain drugs may still show up and some will not. As far as the questions about the guy and the bar...etc. Yes..it is a bar we go to a lot...we know many of the bartenders, etc. there. and actually as far as the guy goes...I have seen him there before....he's very distinct looking....kind of geeky looking, he also has a a scar on his throat that looked to me like an old trach site....he also talked very weird....it was hard for me to make out what he was saying most of the time. Anyways...I don't know.....I am just completely creeped out by this and you all are right...I am very lucky my husband was there with me! Actually...for quite awhile...I don't think the guy even noticed that I was married. My hubby was off with the boys and I was at the bar with a friend...it wasn't until he offered to buy me a drink...and then I told him that I was married and he was like "oh"....the fact that I was married didn't seem to bother him very much...creep!!! Ohhhh..I just remembered another thing....right before we left..he dropped an ice cube down my shirt...god...what a freak!!!! See..that's how it's been....remembering little bits of things that happened every once and awhile.....scary!!! OK...sorry to take up so much time again....I'll look into doing something...I'm not exactly sure what...thanks sooooooooooooo much everyone......you all are sooo great.
Luv and hugs,,

Don't try to convince yourself that it maybe didn't happen. Something happened, not just a bad reaction to alcohol. You had hallucinations as well as a black out after drinking an amount your body has been fine with before. Rohypnol would not show on a tox screen this far out. I believe it's gone in a matter of hours. But other things might show.
Police need to be alerted, as well as the bar staff so they can make sure this guy, or whoever, can't do this to anyone else with the end result being much worse.
Glad nothing else happened to you!!!

Hi folks,
I know I haven't been around for awhile...(sorry) but I'm in a little "situation" and I just needed to get everyone's input on it. Sunday afternoon my hubby and I and a few of our friends went to a local bar to have some Bloody Mary's. I think I had three maybe four drinks at the most...which for me is not a lot because we go out and drink socially quite a bit on the weekends. Anyways...this creepy geeky guy was hitting on me all day...following me around, sitting by me, offering to buy me drinks,etc...you get the picture. None of us, including my husband thought anything of it...we just kind of laughed it off. I did kind of get pissed when I turned over to him and saw him pouring extra salt in my bloody mary...although i still didn't think anything of it. Well...about an hour or so later...I was completely intoxicated and we decided to head home. I got home....threw up and then immediately passed out..(this was like 6pm..according to my hubby). Apparently...about 8 hours later...I jumped out of bed...screaming because I literally saw a rat crawling on me....(of course there was no rat). I then went out to the kitchen and saw thousands of ants crawling everywhere and heard loud footsteps...like someone was marching right up to me...over and over again. Then I went back to bed....and was seeing shadows of people all over the bedroom. I guess I must have fallen back to sleep again and then my hubby woke me up because he was leaving for work and I apparently had no recollection of any of Sunday at that point......I asked him why he was going to work on a sunday???? Anyways...it was alll soooooooo weird and I literally still feel weird today (tuesday)...I just feel super spacey, dizzy and extremely tired. I actually had to leave work right after I got there lastnight(mon. night) because I just couldn't function. I'm just feeling really weird and scared about the whole thing.... I just don't think there's any way three drinks could have done that to me. If my drink was laced with something....could the effects still be lingering this far out?? I'm just wondering if anyone can shed any light on this for me.....?? I'm so sorry this got so long....someone help..this is too bleeping weird!!!
Luv as always,
Snoop
