Wondering about books

Do most of the BSN and MSN classes require you to purchase a textbook? Or is most of the material online? Typically how much have you been spending on books?

I'm in the BSN program and all my books thus far are e-books. From what I can tell, I don't see any books that are mandatory for purchase.

That is correct. There are no books to purchase at any time. Everything you need is available through e-books, or on the internet.

I really don't like reading extensively on a computer. Therefore, before I start the class, I go online to Amazon.com and look for a used version of the textbook for the class. So far, I have been able to get them very cheaply. This way I can highlight, etc and I don't have to be on the computer all the time. And as a bonus, students get Amazon Prime free shipping!

I read all the books on my Ipad or Kindle. Even better IMO. :)

@FeatherzRN: Can you download the WGU ebooks onto Kindle, or did you just use WiFi?

I think I saw your question over on fb also, no? You need to get the vitalsource app on your kindle, which will allow you to download the books and read them 'off line'. :)

Don't forget interlibrary loan-I've had great success with that.
