had to withdraw from nursing school

Published

I feel like I got hit by a bus. I failed all 4 fundamental nursing exams my chances were very slim to pass.

My advisor had recommended I withdraw and re apply. However, this feeling I have is FAILURE. Has anyone else failed or withdrew and went back and was successful. I had a 2-yr plan and now thats out of the question. I loved clinical, I just wasn't a very good test taker. Any advice would be great. Should I go back or try to look into something else? I got accepted into dental hygiene..I feel like my heart is really in nursing though "Ughh"

Moved to general nursing student

Go back and try again. I'd rather fail twice than give up once.

Good luck.

Do something proactive about learning how to take tests before going back. Preferably get with the nursing school advisor, retention coordinator, or a good nursing instructor and get some one on one tutoring on the process of taking nursing school exams since exam taking is your weak point. Good luck.

You HAVE to figure out WHY you failed and find ways to become a better test taker if you wish to go back again. In fact you should figure these out before going to any other type of program including dental hygienist.
