Hello everyone. Just wondering what or if everyone registered for winter semester. I see alot of people saying spring? My school is spring/summer/fall/winter semesters. I am so happy to almost be done with A&P, I think I am actually going to get through it maybe with a B. I have Muscular System lab still to do. I am signing up for this winter
A&P II--
Intro to Pharmacology class
American Government and Maybe Life Span. Can't decide if it's going to be too much yet. By the way everyone HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING. ENJOY YOUR DAY!!! For those early birds shopping the day after like myself HAPPY SHOPPING!!!
January til May is our Winter/Spring semester. This will be my first semester of nursing school. I'll be taking a full load.
Pharmacology, A&P II, Nursing 105, Nursing 110, Intro to Nursing, Human Growth and Development. 17 credit hours. Throw in labs and clincals too.
I'm taking Intro to Nursing....it's is a total blow off class! Half the people don't even show up..I have never studied for a test and aced them all, what a waste of money.
My CC has Fall (15 weeks), Spring (15 weeks), Summer 1 (12 weeks) and Summer 2 (8 weeks I think).
I am taking:
Introduction to nursing (1st 7.5 weeks)
Introduction to Nursing Lab (1st 7.5 weeks)
Med/Surg I (2nd 7.5 weeks)
Med/Surg I Clinicals (2nd 7.5 weeks)
Nursing Assessment (1st 7.5 weeks)
I dont really think my schedule is too tough. My CC breaks up the nursing classes into modules each semester so they are more focused on the individual subject instead of throwing it all at you at once like they used to do.
Good luck everyone!
this spring will be my "intro" semester: intro to chemistry and intro to sociology. ironically, those two are the *last* prerequisites i have to take before starting clinicals (hopefully may '06).
registration was this morning, and by the grace of god, i got the professor i wanted for chem (sociology is online, so no worries). i was a little worried since chem always has tripped me up, but this professor, according to ratemyprofessors.com, is a gem. woo-hoo!

Not necessarily.
DallasCCCD has the following:
Spring (16 weeks)
Fall (16 weeks)
Summer I (5 weeks)
Summer II (5 weeks)
Winter-Mester (4 weeks)
May-Mester (8 weeks)
....Talk about utilizing all available days. lol
For the Winter-Mester, I am retaking my College Algebra class. (B in 2001, need an A!)
For Spring '06, I am taking 2 online classes, Nutrition and History 1302. The History class is an accelerated class 1/18 - 3/10, and if I finish early I'm going to try to take Government 2302 as well. (Starts in February.)
If not, I'll take Government 2302 and Statistics in the summer. THEN, HOPEFULLY, WILL START NURSING COURSES IN THE FALL!
OK, now that I have told you my college life story, I'll spare you with my personal life story. :chuckle
Good luck to you all, and enjoy your break away from studying!
