Winter Break...what's your plans?

School is out and hubby is home (on the 21st) after being deployed to Iraq for a year (during my entire first year in nursing school...talk about stress!):eek:

But I've passed everything and I can't wait to see him, eat some holiday ham, and open some gifts....praising God and celebrating Jesus!!!!

We are going to hole ourselves up in the apartment until Christmas Eve and then spend the night at my parents house, then get up and have Christmas day like a couple of kids.

I'm reading Maternal-Neonatal Nursing made Incredibly Easy and Pediatric Nursing made Incredibly Easy to prepare me for third semester.

And planning on drinking lots of spirits with hubby on New Year's.

What are your plans?

I just finished my last final today. I'll be working about 45 hours a week until school starts back up on Jan 9th. I'll be spending Christmas eve (after work) with my family and Christmas day with my boyfriends family. I will only have 3 days off between now and New Years, so I wont be getting much of anything done. I do plan on reading the first 3 or 4 chapters of my A&P book. I really wish I had some time to relax but it doesn't look like that is going to happen, and I'm sooo worn out! Think I'll put in for vacation time at work during our spring break. I need some time off!!!

My Christmas break is from Dec 23rd to Jan 8th. I plan to stay home for Christmas, but will go to the Mall Of America to catch after X-mas sales, & ring in the New year at Camp Snoopy Land with hubby & the kids :) Then we will catch the Vikings vs Bears game at the metrodome on New years day. I'm so excited & looking forward to my break.

Hiyah!

I have a 4 week break, classes start back up Jan 17. Finished last final today. Aside from hanging with my kiddos :D, I'm taking History 1301 via DCCCD. One course in 4 weeks shouldn't be too hard. No traveling home to Pennsylvania this year for the holidays, already went home at the beginning of the semester. :o

Am I a geek? I'm looking forward to CHEM 1411 next semester. I have this image of neat little lab coats and goggles, doing all these experiments I've only seen on TV. lol

I found out today that I'm closing on my house on 12/21. So, this break (starts after my Micro final tomorrow), I'll be f-i-n-a-l-l-y seperating from my husband (and filing the finally-notarized divorce papers), moving, working, trying to give my 4 kids a somewhat normal Christmas, studying for upcoming math test in Nsg 102 after break, and begging and pleading my way into the DAY nursing classes and clinicals, because all they have so far is night ones, which would mean altering my kids visitation schedules, and my work schedule.

Not too stressful, huh??? LOL

Last final is Thursday so Friday night I am on a plane to Mexico for the entire 2 weeks I have off. Then its back to school on 1/3/06

I found out today that I'm closing on my house on 12/21. So, this break (starts after my Micro final tomorrow), I'll be f-i-n-a-l-l-y seperating from my husband (and filing the finally-notarized divorce papers), moving, working, trying to give my 4 kids a somewhat normal Christmas, studying for upcoming math test in Nsg 102 after break, and begging and pleading my way into the DAY nursing classes and clinicals, because all they have so far is night ones, which would mean altering my kids visitation schedules, and my work schedule.

You are my inspiration :) You've humbled me with your post, when ever I think I'm stressed out ,I'll know I'm just being a wimp. Best of luck with everything!

I'm goin' back to Cali.......to Cali........... to Cali.......... (for those of you who remember that song!) I'll be there for 10 days to visit the fam for Christmas & New Years (my last time not working holidays.........boo hoo!) and then I'll be working the rest of the time here in Florida. :Santa1:

My finals were yesterday. YAY, second semester done and only two more to go. I'll probably work a lot during the break. . .I am off now till the end of January. I'll probably go skydiving a couple times in there too. I miss my skydiver buddies that I haven't seen since I started nursing school. . .

I am making cookies, making REAL meals for my family (dear hubby cooks at night while i'm in school), spending some much needed quality time with my husband and children, playing with all the toys we bought the kids for Christmas, and then I will probably do a whole lot of N*O*T*H*I*N*G!!!

let's see. i took my finals today so ...hubby will be finished with his job tomorrow, get his daughter this weekend , oh yea and i have to work. going to louisiana next week for a friends wedding, then there's christams and did i mention i havent done any x-mas shopping( who has had time with school). then i have to head back to school on the 6. boy that doesnt seem like much of a break huh? anyway everyone have a good winter break and good luck next semester.
