Why hasn’t pay increased? Hazard pay, etc.? Especially considering that multiple hospitals lack supplies for PPE and we are frontline workers.

I do not know the hours. Sorry, I immediately turned it down. With 3 kiddos cannot risk it.

Those jobs are offering no or poor housing (and there is very little selection at this time) 15-20 ICU pts per nurse and questionable PPE (some are requiring that the nurse bring their own. I know because I called one ad that I saw. No thanks to all of that!

I do take exception to the terminology "Expected to take up the slack" With all due respect isn't this what spouses/partners do for each other? There have been times during the 20 years that I have been married that either my husband or I was not working due to economic downturn or illness and never once did we feel burdened by jumping in to provide the balance of the family income. Although I work in a facility with low exposure probability my husband has repeatedly encouraged me to stay home on leave or quit altogether. He is incensed by lack of even basic PPE and yeas he has called my boss to give her a piece of my mind. Angry Asperger's man +telephone + my boss = no Bueno. After listening to his rant she called me in to ask if I felt safe at home.
MY husband and I are a team standing shoulder to shoulder against all comers.
