Anyone go to University of Kentucky? :paw:

Not I... too expensive. I'll bridge to my BSN at EKU or K State

I am at UK - first semester sophomore as an adult student. It is turning out to be quite an interesting experience!

Why not?

If I don't find a job before then or if that job is out of state I'll have to withdraw my spot. Can't go with no money :-(

Have you tried looking over in southern Indiana?

Maybe you can try Clark Memorial & Floyd Memorial Hospitals? I know Floyd has peds, but I'm not sure about Clark.

I've tried everywhere I can think of. Though since I eventually want to work NICU I'm trying to apply to places where I can transfer into it. I've run out of places in KY to apply for that. The only place I've gotten nibbles from is in Cleveland, OH and San Angelo, TX, oh and Virginia. OH is closer and though it would be very difficult to make the once monthly trip to UK it is doable. But I can't make any plans until I actually get hired someplace. I've pretty much given up on the whole hospital system I was employed with.

yet another thing to add to the list of depressing things this year. I finally have my RN license, but can't get a job. Though I do have a phone interview with one place next week.

Well, I got an email today from the RN-BSN advisor. Seems UK is not recognizing my Associate's degree. I'll call admissions tomorrow to find out whats going on. IMO if I meet the requirements for admission to the College of Nursing, I should be admitted to the University as well. I absolutely refuse to do a 4 year program because of money which IMO a school not recognizing another's degree due to accreditation is all about.

Zoobyli- where is your degree from? What is it in? That is strange that they won't accept it.
