Who do you thank for their support during NS?

Published

Hey everyone, something that I have been thinking about on my day off; the wonderful support system that I have. And that I am planning on writing little notes to those that have been so supportive of me getting into school and these first couple of weeks.

I am going to thank my mom and dad for constantly asking me how everything is going, and letting me live at their house rent free! Even at 25, I wouldn't mind that A test going up on the fridge :lol2:

My boyfriend for telling me how amazing I am and reassuring me when I get stressed out that things won't work out. Plus, he keeps telling me he will help me when I need to study flashcards! He's the best :redbeathe

My best friends for calling me and checking to see how things are going...that goes a long way!

I hope everyone out there has an awesome support system, thank them somehow!!!

Aren't we so blessed!!

My parents let me & my husband move into one of their rent houses (the mortgage was paid in full already!) so I could go to nursing school and my husband could finish his pre-med/biology degree. It has helped out SO much!!! And my husband, is super suportive and understanding of all the time I spend with my books!! All my nursing school friends!!! Wow, I never imagined that I would rely on their encouragement when I would begin to feel a little ;) overwhelmed!! It is great to be on the recieving end of so much love from so many people!! I'm sure to remind them how much their support really means!

My mom, because without her I wouldn't be in school right now!

My boyfriend for being super supportive and understanding and realizing that I have priorities and he leaves me alone when I need to study.

And of course, my fellow nursing friends - I could not do any of this without them and it really helps to have other people around that know what you are going through. All of my other non-nursing friends just don't seem to "get it" :|

My husband for allowing me to quit work & go back to school!

My kids for being patient with me! Promised them a big trip when I graduate!

My mom for helping out with the kids!

I thank my family, especially my husband who was ok that I quit my job to pursue nursing, I thank my step mom who has supported me emotionally in this journey. I thank my dad who always tell me that I am already a nurse. I thank my study group for sticking out with me and most of all I thank God for implanting the desire in me to be a nurse. This journey has been full of small hills and large mountains but I am still doing it.

Great Question! I Have to say my family is the biggest support system in me going to nursing school. My parents are supporting me financially, from me living with them without paying anything and helping me with all nursing related costs. Both of sisters are a big support, I wouldnt have made it this far without them. They both encourage me every step of the way, when I am down, or having hard time with anything. For me, my biggest support and weakness is my family. whatever i did or will do in the future, It will be 100% because of my family. I feel blessed!

I have to thank the family member who loaned me his extra vehicle when my car went caput for good and had to be sold to a junkyard. Loaning his vehicle to me for a year - now that is really, really big.

MY HUSBAND....for paying the mortgage, car payments and all of the other bills for these 3 years that I'm in school. Without his support (emotional and financial), I could not do what I am doing. He is truly amazing.
