I'm asking this question because Saunders (5000 questions book) is the only method I use to study the NCLEX. Kaplan is so expensive and I dont know if it's really necessary to enroll in the course or use the qbank.
I was worried sick about this issue because most of the thread i read was recommending Kaplan which i can't afford right now.I am currently almost done with the saunders book and starting with the CD this august. I am giving my self at least a month to practice with the CD. at least 100 questions a day and not more than 150 questions per day. My schedule is September 15.
I am so glad that there is actually testimonials about the Saunders book and its benefits because,
Im feeling a lot of anxiety and stress. i just pray that we may pass the nclex and hopefully the 1st try.

Hi,
I started using the Saunders book last week. I started out with the analysis exam and it spits out a tailor made day by day 'review course.' It basically goes through the whole book reading 2-3 chapters per day, followed by the review at the end of each chapter. I take an hour break and then do a 100 question test that comes with the CD. I think its not the questions but the rationals that are important . I've learned so much from the rationals and then the 'stratagies' sections. Oh by the way, the study guide that is produced includes 2 rest and relax days every 6th and 7th day so as not to suffer burnout. It takes about 6 weeks to get through the whole book using their study calander, and 500 questions per week would equal out to 3000 questions and all the ones at the end of each chapter.
one last thing the cover of the book states that none of the questions repeat so you should have thousands of new questions.
Suzanne, I was wondering if this was similar to your plan.
