AANP Exam - 2014 Who has taken it?

I just completed the AGNP program and I am getting ready to prepare for AANP boards. Has anyone taken boards for 2014 yet? How is it? How did you prepare for the Certification exam? What review materials do you suggest? What topics and subjects could you remember that would be worth reviewing well? and How long did you study before taking boards? I have been searching and searching this forum and there are not many post on people who has taken the boards recently. Can you please input your take on things.... Thank you in advance :)

ICU Nurse in a Adult/ Gero NP program

Hi I am an ICU nurse with 4 years experience... I knew early on that bedside nursing was not going to be the end of me. I am in the Adult/ Gero NP program (I chose it because I never dealt with kids, wouldn't like to deal with not understanding or knowing what's wrong with them, plus I don't have kids yet, my family is small and wouldn't know where to start with them) lol Ok Ok here it goes... I love ICU but not in love with it... meaning if I lef it I may miss it but I would get over it. However since starting my clinical rotation for the NP program I feel this is my calling and this is where I want to be. I almost hate the hospital... if you live in South Florida you would understand ughhh to much politics and they don't care about nursing. I would like to take my CCRN but wanted to know if it ws worth it, would it look good on my resume for landing tht NP job. I also wanted to know what could I possibly do to get stand out... any certifications can get... volunteer? Please tell mw what you think... Thank you in advance :)

    Passing CCRN - My Preparation

What version of the Pass CCRN is everyone using and where do I get the lauren gasparis cd and/or dvd...Do I get both or is one better then the other. I want to take is this early part of the year
  11. I've noticed a couple schools in south Florida offering a CNL (Clinical Nurse Leader) MSN what is this really? I looked on-line and it is still not clear to me. Where can you work? I noticed the classes were similar to the nurse practioner classes except the concentration classes. What is the pay difference from a regular RN? Will it benefit it the future as a long-term goal. I don't like education or administration. NP is ok but filled with a lot of responsibilities and the ones that I see work a lotttttt. So I was thinking about the CNL for my master's. Please help me out
