Definitely wear beige or skin tone panties. I have cherokee white pants, their thick and can stand by themselves in the corner of my room!!!

I wear the thinnest pants I can find, because I am always HOT. It's easy to see through them, but wear underwear that match skin tone, I've said somewhere before, if you are caucasian, white underwear show through horribly, wear tan. You can't see that tone under the white.

Oh no! Being as white pants haven't been a part of my wardrobe since "painters pants" were popular in the '70's, this particular consideration hadn't even entered my mind.

With great humility and air of concern, I asked my wife what her opinion was. She just laughed. :crying2: I think she's enjoying the thought of turning the fashion tables on me. This is bad... very bad...

One of my instructors told us we had to have a lab coat. My suggestion is to carry it in the car with you (if they are allowed) that way you have something to throw on over your uniform, just in case. Or at least, until you find something that works.

Most of the guys in my program wear white boxers. They are long enough that they kind of blend in. Don't be like one guy though and wear red and white striped ones! He got sent home real quick! :chuckle

I have been working as a CNA for 3 years and I try to get dark colors, but since I had to have white for CNA school, I just try not to wear any panties with bold prints and also I wear LONGER tops, but I don't guess you get the luxury of choosing your tops in school now do you?! LOL. I'll have to take some of the posters advice in this thread.

We have the smock-style tops that cover our butts, so we don't have to worry about it! Do you have a choice in shirt styles? We also get the benefit of more pockets this way. our uniforms are from Dove, and they are pretty thick as well. I wouldn't say they aren't see through but probably better than most.

I own one pair of white pants and I absolutely love them. They have all the big cargo pockets that allow me to carry around everything but the kitchen sink. I've never considered wearing skin tone underwear. My fear with those would be that people would think I wasn't wearing underwear. I just tend to wear white granny panties with my white pants. I may have to check out this skin tone thing though.

Thanks so much to everyone for all the suggestions! Unfortunately my choices are limited because I cannot have drawstring, we can only have elastic waist pants. I went shopping today and ended up buying a longer uniform shirt so the pants aren't such a big issue. Now I'm just debating on whether to get cargo pockets or not.
