You could try a diva cup, or similar device, along with doubling up on pads.I have a very heavy period too and suffered the embarrassment of bleeding through during cliniclas. Once I doubled up, I didn't have any further issues.
Good luck, it's tough!
I was thinking about doubling up with tampons and pads. I've never worn one but it doesn't hurt to try.
You could also wear spanx (or the cheaper generic versions) over your underwear and under your scrubs. Provides an extra layer and make sure everything stays in place. Like these: Target : Expect More. Pay Less.
This might not be an option that you are interested in, but you could get an IUD. Some types of IUDs make your periods very light or even disappear completely. Obviously there are other effects like not getting pregnant....but the no-period thing can be very convenient when wearing white pants!

Does any ladies here have to wear white or light scrubs? How do you deal with your cycle and possibly spotting? I have a heavy period, depending on what I take and eat, & im scared of spotting. I'm a first semester student and we have to wear white throughout the entire program. Also I do not wear tampons, only pads and I change them every hour.
