White Memorial RN Residency Program March 2012

Published

Hey everyone, I just applied online to White Memorial's RN Program that begins March 2012. Has anyone else applied? I only have my ADN, but I hope that I still get a phone call from them. Maybe we can keep each other company while we wait for a response from them. Good Luck to us all! :)

I guess I'm not allowed to post names on here... I do have some good news though! The lady I talked to said that they wouldn't be making calls for interviews until the end of this week, so if you haven't heard from them, don't give up! She told me that I have an interview for sure, but that they're not going to start calling until the end of the week. Hopefully this helps a little bit!

Oh goody! At least I have some sort of reference timeline. My initial interview went pretty well (I think) so i'm hoping that i will at least get a chance for a second interview. Thanks and i'm glad you were able to make it to the second round!:yeah:

So I couldn't resist and I called again to sort out what the situation was and I was pretty much given the go ahead that I have passed the panel and will make it to the second interview round. No specific schedule yet but the person I talked to was very informative and said they are a little behind schedule but hope to get all the calls out by next week. Also I was told who the interviewers would be for the units I applied to so I am pretty psyched. I hope this one really works out cause as far as I can see most of the individuals who make it to the second interview round usually get it. So fingers and toes crossed.

Thanks for the info! You said pretty much everyone who interviews twice gets a spot? Also, do you know how long the contract is that we sign? Thanks so much!!

At the risk of sounding overly ambitious it seems that from the previous posts for the March 2011 Residency the majority of those who received a second interview were accepted. Lets hope the trend repeats itself!!! I think the nurse manager interview is slightly more informal and is basically explaining the hours the work itself and they try to see if you are someone they wanna work with and train.

What I've been doing is reading information from the March 2011 Residency trying to establish some sort of time reference and it seems most of the final interviews are done in early December and decisions are made late December.

As for the contract what I hear is that it is 2.5 years plus the training so basically 3 years. Lets keep in contact and keep each other updated as I feel we are both talking to the same person in HR!!!:)

I got a call today regarding a 2nd interview, hooray!!! I'm really excited because my 1st interview was sooooooo short (couldn't have been more than 15 minutes!) and I felt like they all could have cared less with what I was saying- but I guess not =] If getting a 2nd interview is an indication that you'll get hired, I appreciate that. It's so frustrating when other hospitals lead you on with 2nd/3rd interviews and don't hire you.

If you haven't received a call hold tight-if I remember correctly on my panel interview they told me it'd be 3-4 weeks when they called back; and it's been 3 weeks, so hopefully everyone else hears something this week or next week. Good luck!

Oh yay!! What unit did you apply for? I was called last week for an interview for NICU.

Hi guys,

For those who got interviewed, what are some of the clinical and critical thinking questions they asked??

Thx

Hello,

I was wondering how selective White Memorial is on the basis of their applicants' spiritual and religious beliefs. I am an agnostic and I can answer their essay questions as a respectful advocate of other people's beliefs and practices... but is that enough for them?

Is there an unspoken understanding that they will prioritize those who are religious?

I hope this question does not offend anyone.

I really don't think your religious beliefs (or lack of them) will figure into it. I do understand your concern. I am not an SDA, yet I got my ASN from an Adventist program, & had to take 3 quarters of religious instruction. I found no bias whatsoever. Just be respectful, after all they are providing you with a valuable education.

I am interviewing for the NICU too! Wow, small world :) Best wishes!!!

Hey Shenanagins! How exciting! I hope we both get in. When is your interview?
