White Memorial RN Residency Program March 2012

Published

Hey everyone, I just applied online to White Memorial's RN Program that begins March 2012. Has anyone else applied? I only have my ADN, but I hope that I still get a phone call from them. Maybe we can keep each other company while we wait for a response from them. Good Luck to us all! :)

My friend who also interviewed with them was told that they will be making their decisions around mid-November, so it's not over yet for anyone. Good luck!!

I was interviewed there about two weeks ago as well and heard that the decision will be made mid November. Please post you guys if you get a call so we can all know when to expect a call! The interview was pretty harrowing for me.:crying2:

I was not prepared for their critical thinking question.. though I did prepare as much as I could.. I only had 3 days notice. They sure do know how to break you down :(

I had an interview on Monday, and when I asked them when I could expect hearing back, they said 3-4 weeks...that's around Thanksgiving week and 1st week of December (which is a looooong time in unemployed new grad world lol)

I'm deathly afraid of the critical thinking questions. I don't want to stare back at them like a deer in headlights....

You weren't prepared because it was so hard???

It seemed like a critical thinking exercise you would do as a homework assignment in nursing school. More difficult than what I had expected, but I could attribute it to me being out of school for almost 1 year. Content wise it was covered during our nursing curriculum.

hmmmm. I think it's going to be funny when i act confident throughout the entire interview and then my face completely changes expression when i hear something i'm clueless about.

The best thing to do when struck with a question you can't initially answer is to.. stop, take a breath, collect your thoughts, and then answer. We've all been trained with the same material - you CAN answer these questions. Don't let the fear get the best of you :)

you're right. i'm excited about the chance to even interview. it's tough out here right now.

Believe me, I know exactly what you mean. I graduated1 year ago and I am still looking for work :(

Yeah...that was totally me. The question was easier than I was making it out to be but I completely blanked and couldn't remember a thing. Oh well, lesson learned.
