White Memorial RN Residency Program March 2012

Published

Hey everyone, I just applied online to White Memorial's RN Program that begins March 2012. Has anyone else applied? I only have my ADN, but I hope that I still get a phone call from them. Maybe we can keep each other company while we wait for a response from them. Good Luck to us all! :)

Has anyone heard back yet from HR about the med math test/second interview?

No dice. Anyone know how many people are competing for these spots?

I do not know how many, but was told by another candidate who knows someone from the last new grad program, that they are interviewing 50-60 and hiring 25-30.. Again, I personally do not know though so take it with a grain of sand...

BTW, did everyone send a thank you note? I feel like they were reluctant to give out their contact information. I did not take this as a bad sign, but almost like they have enough candidates to interview and did not want to be bothered..Prob. better safe than sorry but...

I just received a rejection e-mail from White Memorial. Good luck to everyone still in the running.

Keep your head up.

Trying my best, thank you :)

Hi y'all,

Thanks so much for everyone posting on this thread. It was quite comforting. NursejaneRn, I'm sorry to hear about your rejection email. I definitely know how that feels. I'm sure you'll find something though. Just to let everyone know... I talked to someone in HR and they informed me that they would call me later this week to schedule interview times for the units. Hope this helps!

I'm curious if your choice in units will hurt/help someone. Does anyone know if they'll consider you for a different department if you don't fit the needs of your chosen unit?

Do you mind me asking who you talked to in HR? And did they say they would be calling you specifically or that they would be making the follow up calls this week? Sorry if my questions are a bit detailed but as you can imagine I am pretty nervous about this whole thing since I havent received a call or a rejection letter. Thanks:)

I don't want to use names on a forum, but they are good about keeping you informed. From my conversations with them, it looks like they want to consider more candidates before making any decisions, so it looks like it will be some time before this is all over. The program doesn't start until March, so this is one that's going to keep us holding our breath for a bit. Hope that's encouraging news for you, and good luck!

Yes its probably best to not mention names but i have the feeling based on my conversations and previewing the posts from the past residencies its seems that end of November and early December is when we are most likely to hear from them. Oh well
