Hey everyone, I just applied online to White Memorial's RN Program that begins March 2012. Has anyone else applied? I only have my ADN, but I hope that I still get a phone call from them. Maybe we can keep each other company while we wait for a response from them. Good Luck to us all! :)
Congratulations CarisseChanRN and shananagins!!
I got a call for a second interview as well!! I'm excited and really nervous!! I don't want to mess up my chance! Any tips?! Were the interviews with the managers similar to the first panel interview? Was the medication exam straight forward? The recruiter told me not to worry about it, but I can't help it! I hope they don't give questions in drams haha.
Really hope that the trend that you saw from last year repeats itself and we all get a position!! :)
Any tips to calm my nerves would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Hey Cassie,
My interview (s) went pretty well...I was kinda nervous during my L&D one but thankfully I calmed down for NICU (which is my 1st choice). I think for NICU she told me she was interviewing 2 or 3 more people and would hire 2!
KM- the manger interviews were slightly less formal than the panel interview. They asked me standard questions (why White Memorial, why this unit, strengths/weaknesses, etc). but the overall vibe was more personal. I was able to take a tour of the unit, interviewed with the manager and educator. The exam was pretty easy- very straight forward. It was basically conversions, I studied for it though because it's been months since I've taken a test or anything of the sort. If you Google "nursing math" or "medication math" you will find some good websites that will help you review. Overall- be concise and calm, and you'll do great!!! Good Luck!
Yup tomorrrow too! What time? I just went in for my ED interview today
Hey Charisse,
I just saw your post, and I thought I'd let you know that someone told me that they only had 2 people interview for 3 positions in the ED! I just thought that might encourage you a little bit :) I was also just wondering for those of you who have already heard back- how long of a contract did you sign? Thanks so much for your help!
Hey you guys! So I talked to the recruiter and she said that there is no formal contract you are required to sign but they expect a 2 to 3 year commitment to WMMC if that helps at all.
Shananagins I was so nervous for ED but NICU was so nice! They were really really friendly and I wasn't nervous at all! I reviewed for the medication exam like crazy so I was super happy that I got all of them correct!!!
