Why dont you try calling the CA-BON to let them know you still have not received your fingerprint card? I graduated in PA, got my finger print card mailed to me, went to the local police station to get finger-printed and sent back. The whole process took about 3 weeks. This was my first licence, however...not sure if you have another licence somewhere else already and if so, how that would work.. Flying from HI to CA to get fingerprinted is definately not something you need to do. Good luck.

It will be interesting to see if the retirees will open the market up more for CRNA'S. As a new grad RN, it was astounding to me how many classmates wanted to be or were going to school just to become CRNA's one day. Of course circumstances change and not all of those students will get in, but if the demand by RN's to pursue graduate school continues to grow (and our country continues to pump out more new graduate nurses) I do not see how the CRNA market can sustain itself. The rate of BSN prepared nurses is increasing daily and will eventually be the norm as ADN's begin to be phased out. Oftentimes, the BSN prepared nurses want to pursue higher degrees, as would the ambitious business student who wanted to pursue an MBA. More BSN's= more people pursuing graduate schools = higher competition but also more programs opening their doors to get $100k plus / student. I hope the market never becomes saturated but if one pursues this path only for the money, they may be disappointed (or not, who knows in the end).

When I applied, I was asked if I had a BSN before I was given the application. This person may not have known the whole story though..worth a shot.

BTW, did everyone send a thank you note? I feel like they were reluctant to give out their contact information. I did not take this as a bad sign, but almost like they have enough candidates to interview and did not want to be bothered..Prob. better safe than sorry but...

I do not know how many, but was told by another candidate who knows someone from the last new grad program, that they are interviewing 50-60 and hiring 25-30.. Again, I personally do not know though so take it with a grain of sand...

Has anyone heard back yet from HR about the med math test/second interview?

ICU and ER calls may or may not be done, I am sure you will know by next week though. I really do not think anyone on this forum, unless they work at UCLA, really knows the answer to this question. Its possible they called out of state people first to arrange flights, but this may not be the case either. Way too much hearsay on this forum already that simply adds to the already built-up anxiety of many.
