I am a Nursing student at IUPUI and i need to have a TB test done before i start the program. I was told there is a shortage of TB tests and i am going to have to wait. I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me more places i could check out in Indianapolis. Thank you very much!

Your primary care physician will be able to do that for you. If they dont do it then they will be able to give you any further information.

I'm assuming you've already checked with the university student health service?

I received mine at the Hamilton County Health Department. I would check with Marion County Health Department, I got my Hep B and Tdap there. I have heard that there is a shortage, so I would call around. Check with Kroger's pharmacy and Minute Clinics. Oh, try Dr. Aziz's pharmacy in Castleton. I hope you can find one.

You are mistaken. There is no shortage of TB test. There is, however, a shortage of the treatment: Isoniazid.

Holy crap, I can't believe that. I remember when I was on tx for TB, I had to order the medication from Canada because of the national shortage of Isoniazid. Looks like the supplies are improving.
Question to the original poster: Are they not allowing the Quantiferon test? I know our school no longer accepts it, sadly. :

thanks everyone. Yes i have only tried at my schools health center and they told me they didn't have any and there was a shortage. I didn't know if i should just wait it out or if other places would have it!
