Where do you find new grad nursing jobs in VA?????

Published

Hi all,

I am from California, just found out I passed the NCLEX last week, and am currently looking for a new grad nursing position in Virginia. I have sent out my application to many places but to no avail.

Anyone know of hospitals that have entry level position out here??? I saw that some hospitals have residency programs twice a year, but I don't want to wait another 4 months just to apply.

Also, should I go directly to the hospitals and track down nurse recruiters or nurse managers? Applying over the internet seems so impersonal and this field is so competitive nowadays...

Anyways, any insight would be much appreciated! :)

i am new grad rn adn graduate from nj did u start u get hired at winchester medical center (valley health) in winchester, va this year, and if so did you apply to a new grad position and i also wanted to know if you already had the rn license for west virginia before you applied

i applied while i was still in school in 2007. i was hired under the condition that i passed my boards, which thankfully i did. when i applied for licensure while in school, i only applied for a va license since i knew i wasn't staying in nj.

i have since received my wv license just in case something shoud pop up out where i live, but wv is not a compact state, so i needed to apply for va originally.

wmc does hire new grads, so my suggestion is to keep applying if you haven't already!!!!!
