  1. Hey guys I recently applied to johns Hopkins and landed two interviews and I just got a job offer from one of them. So they are hiring new grads! Don't lose hope ! Be persistent
  2. See I here mixed messages about going in to HR and asking to speak to a recruiter. Some people say you get turned away or that people are rude to you and just tell you to apply online. And it stinks that I live all the way up here and have only just been emailing different people. But maybe I'll see what I can do to upgrade my harassment skills lol.
  3. Yes I do have my virginia license and I have now also sent in the app for a nj license. Might as well broaden my options even though that was not part of the original plan. Are you a new grad as well?
  4. Yes I do have my virginia license. I also jus decided to send the application for a nj license. Might as well broaden my options even though that wasn't the original plan. Are you a new grad as well?
  5. Yes I spoke to her 2 weeks ago and she asked me a whole bunch of questions but when I followed up I was told that I was not chosen for an interview I guess I'm just going to keep applying everywhere I can. So frustrating.
  6. i know im weeks late. but im in the same situation right now. i received a call from a vhc recruiter and i got a voicemail. phone didnt ring. i called back and got asked all these questions. i was taken a little by surprise. anybody know what the next step would be or if they only call people that they're really interested in? she told me to wait a week or 2 for a call back.
  7. Well the problem with that is that I live in new jersey lol. I'm trying to relocate. And ill look into nvmhi but I've been working in psych for the last 2 years now and I kind of wanted to try something different. But if all else fails I might just have to settle. Thanks for the info! :)
  8. Thanks lunah. I talked to my friend and she shed some light on the hiring process for me. Guess I'll just be waiting to hear back from VHC and just apply elsewhere in the meantime. :)
  9. I applied for over 20 job postings at Inova about 2 weeks ago and have received nothing back from them. I don't even have the nurse recruiter information there. Is there anyway you can PM me with it? I'm desperate lol. I am still waiting back to hear from the VHC recruiter. I just wanted to know or hear some reassurance from people who have had experience applying. I'm going crazy waiting to hear back from anyone
  10. Does anybody know what it means if they are putting in your application for review? I got a call from a recruiter and she said that she was putting my app in for review and to wait about a week or 2 for a call back for an interview. Does this mean that they're really considering hiring me??? Please someone help lol. I'm a desperate new grad RN looking for a job
  11. oops. you said critical care. wow thats awesome! best of luck to u =)
  12. Yea I've already applied for various positions at INOVA and have yet to receive anything. Granted it's only been 2 days. lol. I'm counting on my friend to score me an interview so fingers crossed. But I will def. check out the Johns Hopkins site. Thats definitely an option for me. What floor did you get on if you dont mind me asking.
  13. Any chance you have the nurse recruiter info at INOVA or Johns Hopkins? Can you PM me? I'd greatly appreciate any help! Thank you sooo much :)
  14. Very useful info especially for someone from out of state. THANKS! =)
