  1. Thank you for all the comments everybody.. This week my recruiter called me and I was selected by the Army Boards. Wow. Amazing. Thank you Lord. You made it possible so fast. I started my application on March 2011 and May 2011 I was selected. My experience in the process was great. I am ready to take my life to a new level with this new experience in the Reserves...
  2. As a new RN working in a short stay soon to be transitional care unit, It is a very interesting job. I just started not too long ago and I really love it. I wouldnt change nothing about my option to start work there. I am very excited, willing to learn everything so I can make a difference in my patient's life. I appreciate the comments posted here.. I find comfort and fuel to become everything the Lord has created me to be as a nurse.. thank you.
  3. Great!. I wish you the best! I also did my BSN program online and it was really good. I finished mine in three semesters. I learned so much in the nursing program at NVCC. The lectures and clinicals were great. Just know that by becoming a nurse, you will change the lives of many. It is such a priceless career full of rewards and opportunities. Take every challenge as an opportunity of growth and advacement. The career of nursing has no limits. It is a priviledge to be a part of this profession.
  4. just wanted to add that NVCC has a great nursing program. I graduated from there in 2009, got my BSN from GMU after that. Great instructors, great people. Made me love nursing even more..

  9. thank you for the info. My recruiter called me today. I asked him the same question and he told me what you just told me.. He said that I can specialize in my unit, such as critical care, ER, etc... Are you in the process of applying or you already got selected?.. In in the second step now which is physical, sometime in April at Walter Reed, DC... What about you?
  10. Hello Guys, I have some quick questions. First, anybody out there submitted their package for the boards for April or the upcoming 2011 months?... Also how do you find out about OBLC dates for 2011?. I would like to know in advance... My last question, lets say that if you want to use the STRAP program for MSN, to specialize.. is that possible?. what are the requirements for that?.. I am looking everywhere and I cant find the answer.. thank you in advance..
  11. Congratulations! May God Bless you always.
  12. Thank you guys for all your responses.. So today I mailed my package to my recruiter... I am in God's hand... Also, my recruiter told me that he will contact me next week or so for physical....... I have a quick question about the reserves, for the STRAP program, lets say I would like to further my career and be specialized in critical care... can that be possible?.. I know they have the program for the ones that one to earn their BSN. In my case, I want to specialized... MSN, that sort of thing... thanks in advance...
  13. my recruiter told me 8 years... yup.
  14. thank you for the answer.. I appreaciate it. Currently, I am working on my package but I did send back the email that my recruiter sent me, asking a a lot of things about my health...it was a fill in pdf file... do I have to finish the whole package before I get an appt for my physical or do I call my recruiter and ask?.. Also, before the Boards meets, I need to have physical done? thank you in advance.
  15. thank you for your response.. quick question, do you go to do your physical after your application is submitted or in the process?. also, if you had it already, what really happens?. is it like a general check or something like that ? thank you and good luck with everything..!
