Okay I am expecting an acceptance/rejection letter anytime now and i am sooooo antsy. What i would like to know is, is there a certain type of envelope an acceptance letter comes in and a certain one a rejection letter comes in? I dont want to expect to get accepted and then open up and read the letter and actually read that i was rejected. So can anybody out there shed some light on this matter?
wow what a process
If you think that was a lot, imagine the 18 ITEMS due in the next few months for school — immunization forms, cpr card, health insurance, physical, drug test, and on and on and on. It's crazy! And it's a crazy I hope you get to experience for yourself soon enough! Let us know what you find out!
omg i would've died when i seen the exact same envelope again i would've been thinking i got rejected again!!! congrats though i cant wait until i finally get that acceptance letter in my hands. How did you get a scholarship btw? did you apply for one? or was it given to you? congrats on that as well!!
That's why I sat there for 10 minutes debating whether or not to open the letter, haha! I was just given the scholarship based on my GPA. I needed to maintain above a 3.0. I also applied for other scholarships during my program. Our secretary was awesome and great at letting us know about funding and scholarships! I just graduated May 5th. Don't be discouraged. It took me a while to get into a program. I was originally from California and it's an average 2-4 years because of program impaction. I ended being placed on a couple wait-lists while living there along with a couple rejection letters. I was also in a bad relationship where my Ex was holding me back from school. Once I ditched him, I moved to Pennsylvania and got accepted instantly! It was a total godsend!
I know the cc I'm currently at sends big packages to the accepted students and a small envelope to the non-accepted students.
Now, the university I applied to.. I don't know. I'm just going to be hoping for a thick envelope. What's bad is we have to apply to the program.. Wait to get accepted, then those who qualify- which I'm one of them- have to apply to the
Nursing course sequence and wait until orientation- sometime in august- to find out I we get to do it. That's going to be a killer! I won't know until the end of June. Good luck!!

Acceptance letters come in green envelopes. Rejection letters come in red envelopes. Duh.
I think you're thinking of college acceptance scenes in the movies where the kid who gets I to Yale gets a giant package full of brochures and forms, and the reject gets a tiny envelope, and we all know who's gotten in before they open them. Mine came in a plain white envelope with about 4 letter sized papers folded in it. I assume the rejection letters were the same, just thinner?
Either way, good luck!

Born and bred in Southern California, Orange County. I moved to Western Pennsylvania two years ago to be with my boyfriend and to start Nursing School. Ugh....pre-reqs, I remember those! California's way of regulating, LOL. I was shocked when I moved to Pennsylvania and they didn't require pre-reqs. Moving here was the best thing I ever did!
Where abouts in Cali are you from? And where are you residing now in PA?

Wow i need to look up scholarships then and talk to the advisors i have not heard anything about nursing scholarships or scholarships in general for this semester yet.
