If I were in your position, I would apply to as many schools as possible—even community colleges if necessary—if it will help you get closer to your BSN. Definitely don't wait, because some schools may require you to retake science courses if it has been a while since you last took them. Every school has its own admissions rubric, which takes into account different aspects of an applicant, such as military service, community service, communication skills, and essays.
