is there anyone else as sick and tired as i am of these pre nursing classes. they seem to just never end. i have been working on these pre rn classes for 10 years and the list seems longer now than when i started. im finishing up my sciences in aug perhaps that will help.

Just an update on my previous update... does that make sense.. I finally graduated with my Associates in LIberal Arts..... However I made a D in algebra ( which is passing enough to graduate me ) so I am still working on algebra... But the light is shining at the end of the tunnel at least a little brighter.
Bummer! I just found out that the program I am in has 32 students this semester (I was told we were supposed to have 40?) I guess the traditional program has 40... not the accelerated. Oh well, I personally feel smaller is better, allowing for more personal attention & increased success. But that is selective depending on the student, of course. Some students prefer larger enviros...
I still feel so lucky to be where I am today!
Good luck!

Yes I'm sick of all these pre-reqs. Can I say that again, lol. Also my family kinds of wonders so when is graduation? I started taking the remedial courses basic math to college algebra also. Since I had low ACT scores and 2 points from a 3.0 GPA. Now I have about 32 credits and I have a gpa of 3.4 it could be better but its an great improvement. I have learnd so much and enjoy learning but I'm ready for NS instead of these pre-reqs. I started school in fall of 2004 I have always taken 1 course in the summer time. Now I only have 3 pre-reqs; A&P,A&P2 and Microbiolgy and the NLN. And this fall of 2006 classes. I think I did pretty well for sitting out last fall and having so many credits. So all together I have went to school for a about 1.5 yrs. When I'm done with all pre-reqs it would have been about 2.5 yrs.
I hope to be done by 07 summer of fall. I plan to apply for school NS in Jan 08. I hate that they make you apply for in the middle of the semester. And the classes that you take that semester wont count. This puts me behind about 5 months, ugh. They really need to change that,. Nevertheless, I hope to be in NS by spring 08 and graduate by spring 09. Hang in there everyone! We are getting closer to being done!
Can you clep that one class?
I wish they would change the timing, too! I have all of my pre-reqs for a ADN program FINALLY out of the way. I looked at a BSN program, and I only need ONE more class for it. But, to take that ONE class, it puts me behind by a year because of the delays in applying. Gah!
Hey guys--
Done w/ pre reqs and now starting to work on BSN pre reqs while I am in ADN nursing classes (starting semester 2).
Still need
Algebra
Chem w/ lab
Statistics
Nutrition
Then..."just" grad from my ADN program (Fall 07) and its off to BSN...
From there I want my Masters. Yeah, I'm 33--wont be done til I'm 41. Oh, well!
I definately feel the pain here! I started college Fall 2002, got sick and took 2003 off to recover and figure out life, got my MA in 2004, then started back on the path of nursing 2005! Boy has it been a journey! The core (general ed I guess?) classes are what kicked my butt! This fall I am taking the last of all the classes I need for the BSN! Unfortanately it's going to suck because I put all the dreaded classes last (history 2, english 2, arts....*snore* I'd rather claw out my eyeballs!) and then chem for the BSN. I have been going year round since 2004, first for the MA and then to get pre-reqs, co reqs, general ed out of the way so I am just tired! But there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I am nearing that light! The only thing that sucks now is that I have nothing left to take just apply and wait! And pray that I get into the BSN since I have all those credits finished too and I really just want to get my BSN and be done! (Well for a little while until I get the exp needed to apply for masters!) But if I don't get in the BSN, then I have to do the ADN, RN-BSN route and it will take even longer! Lots of praying ahead!
