What's the meanest thing a patient has said to you?

Just curious, what's the meanest, rudest, nastiest thing a patient has said to you? Tonight I had someone tell me they wished I would die and go straight to he!! Then they said they hoped it rained everywhere I went. They also told someone they were a son of a b. What's your best line?

I've had my fair share of nasty things said to me working in a SNF, but the one that I cannot let go of wasn't said by a patient, but my new DON. "...you're JUST an LPN.." [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]

Get hell out of here if you won't take da** thing off your head. I'm a Muslim who wears a hijab. Also I had resident not want as their Nurse because I 'm Black and I have Caribbean accent. They have said to my face and requested a Europe American Nurse. I'm thinking on less resident. I understand their generation there was segregation. I understand some people will never change no matter how close to death door they are. Honestly they make a better person. I choose to be the better person and judge people as individuals not as a group.

I had a confused elderly patient with an infection who spit, kicked, and hit as us we were trying to give her iv medication, we then had to hold her arms and legs down to give it to her and she called us all crazy huge a**holes lol

Oh this is an easy one. A patient said to me he was going to sodomize me and blow my brains all over the wall while he did it. He used different words, of course.

Have any of you seen the celebrities read mean tweets on Jimmy Kimmel? Some of these stories remind me of those, which are funny in that they make the tweeter look so much worse than the celebrity. Other stories here are sad, and some are actually scary.

I had a patient tell me to take my fat a** and go sit at the nures station and eat another burger

One told me that he was going to kill me, as he grabbed me around the neck and another called me a sleazy a*s b***h w***e. gotta love mental health.

This LOL said to me, "gosh you're fat," "you're so fat," "I can't believe how fat you are!" and "how much do you weigh?" throughout my shift.

I tried my best to ignore it; however, I couldn't help it anymore. I said to her, "I may be fat but at least I don't have a beard like you do."

Not my finest moment.

I was working on Christmas and had a confused patient. I was doing rounds and walked into their room and said hello Merry Christmas my name is Dawn and I'll be your nurse tonight. They told me to go f myself

I've been told that before, and in my head, I say, "Yeah, I'm going to be a 'mean mom' in order to ensure that they don't become nasty, selfish brats like you."

Thank goodness that cartoon-style thought bubbles don't exist.

I once had a patient accuse me of being a racist b---- against people of her ethnicity. After I ignored her, the hypocrite then started screaming that she was glad that we [racial slur for Japanese people] got the nuclear bomb, and that she hoped that it happens again.

I don't understand people.
